This surprisingly kind of rings true some chatter I saw in threads after last week's episode though
Someone remarked on how, despite Higurashi having a nice ending, they did kind of not wrap up anyone's story aside from Rika's.
Like we don't know what Keiichi or Sh/Mion or Rena did after they won out against Takano.

It'll probably take the long way back to Satoko revealing she's been looping for a t least these new loops.
I suspect we'll see what happened to make her a looper before we get back to her pulling a gun on Rika

It sounded like she was present to enjoy the festival after Takano got lead away
But it seems like between then and a year later, she's evaporated up and no one knows who she was again

The other thing I guess is Keiichi and Rena are the OTP
With Mion moving away it kinda feels like she's drifting away from the gang
But Keiichi and Rena seem to be closer than ever.

Looks like Rika is trying to push the village into not being so completely awful to Satoko

Hokkaido is actually much, much further north than the main island of Japan that Mt. Fuji presides in.

That's true, but in the winter, the heart of Japan can get pretty cold
Even the main island of Japan is actually really, really far north
Like it's closer to the North Pole than either of us are, I think.
And at the higher altitudes of the mountainous region of the island that these girls live in, far away from the coast, they probably get fairly cold temperatures
Cold enough for considerable snowfall at least.

Hammocks are one of those things that sounds romantic on paper but in execution are almost always a major pain in the ass
