Yeah, like I said on Tuesday, when I was double-checking my list because of Beastars, I realized I'd totally missed Slime's episode last week.
So when a new episode came out for Tuesday, we had two episodes of it ready for this week instead of just one.

when i catch up on go-toubun i'll have that

but that will probably be a week from now

You should watch the first two episodes of Jaku-Chara Bang

Probably towards the end of this big "Stone Wars" arc, so I'm counting more towards the end of the second season
The fact that they're going up against Tsukasa properly soon makes me think they'll be showing up regularly though.

I wonder if it's the original work or the adaptation that has so much soul
There's something about this series that just has a lot of soul to it
It's kinda corny and dumb in a lot of places but it just works

Well Boichi's original art has a very particular vibe to it
Partially because he's a killer artist but also probably a bit because he's Korean and brings their unique art quirks with him

I think the writing generally hits a lot of the standard "emotional" shounen tropes without feeling deliberately trope-y like Black Clover or even Hero Academia can at times
And the very earnest "Science is cool!" attitude the show has is just fun in a very warmly child-like way.

For someone who's only just started seeing tech like batteries, Chrome is pretty good at learning how things work.

It's all a very silly way of ascertaining if someone's really the right person or not anyway
A better way out would be saying something like "my figure hasn't endured as well because of the resource scarcity in this new world"

The flashbacks we'd been getting from her looked like a lot of middle-school age stuff too though
If she's a high schooler like most of the regular cast she might've filled out a bit more since then

But I'd also bet doing hunter-gatherer survival like she's probably doing as a part of Tsukasa's tribe would probably add to the muscle as well.

That's probably what Senku is banking on
It'll be a philisophical battle in a sense, between Senku's old world science and culture, and Tsukasa's new world order of "adults bad" and "reject society return to tribe"

I mean I was being a bit in bad faith there
"Adults bad" is a simplification of his stance that things wrong were because of the uncaring and cynical way he saw adults operate in his own life.
Which isn't inherently a baseless or false belief.

But a lot of people also believe society isn't worth the benefits it brings.
Plus Tsukasa deliberately only saves kids, teenagers at best.
Just think of all the kids who romanticized running away from home or living in the woods to escape their parents or other parts of society they were fed up with.

A lot of people are going to miss the nice things that society offered

There's not much your body's internal systems can do to deal with them.

When you think about it, the "deaths" of the cells in normal Hataraku are fairly high in number too
But they're always off-screen deaths or comical ones like getting sucked out of the body
Black's definitely more morose about death and not afraid to show it onscreen.
But that's also probably because this is more of a seinen take on the more "for kids" normal Hataraku

I wonder if they can talk now.

I wonder what the end of season crisis will be.

I wouldn't be surprised if they keep the policy but enforce it in a more gently fashion

I could see some serious organ, not total failure, but partial failure that needs hospitalization as some big end-of-series climax
Alternatively they echo the first season of Hataraku with its cancer finale but show just how worse it is for a body that's not in good health to survive.

Anyway, if they're really mooks of the demons, they're probably on order to only kill the kids if absolutely neccessary
I think the demons want the kids as alive as close to consumption as possible.
Which seems like it was the case.

But if they'd been on the side of the humans they wouldn't want to kill the kids either.
So it makes sense the kids, who are on the defensive, would have an advantage.

Plus don't forget these kids are as close to genetic superhumans as you can probably get.
They've been bred to be their healthiest and smartest, and then given an incredibly enriched and empowering education their whole lives.

I do believe he ended up being a snake planted to keep tabs on her and make sure she didn't do anything too outrageous.
So it's funny they retconned him into being a part of the paramilitary squad.

If only because this organization now has the virus under their control.

Rika was right, Takano's always been absolutely determined.

Satoko's been my dark horse theory for a long time now
In part because of an amazing little bit of evidence that got compiled by someone in a thread on /a/ back in like, episode five or six.
I almost thought it got confirmed last episode with the Satoko and Rika scene but then they did absolutely NOTHING with it afterwards, which kinda cooled my jets a bit.

This is the thing that sorta started the whole "Satoko is the 'culprit'" theory I was seeing earlier on
It's right at the end of the OP, after Rika picks up the looper-killing shard
The blood's presumably from who she uses it on, but on the floor around the blood, there's noticable sheens of pink and green colour.
Now, the simple explanation is it's Takano's colour scheme, but the dark horse explanation at the time was that it's Satoko's colour scheme
Because coincidentally they share almost the exact same colour scheme.

There's also a not-Sakoto witch in Umineko
But I still can't figure out why Satoko would work against Rika.

Lambdadelta is arguably a not-Takano witch though.
Her name's even a reference to Miyo, Takano's first name.
Miyo can, or is, not sure, be written with the characters for 3 and 4 in Japanese
Lambdadelta are the third and fourth characters in the Greek alphabet.

But that said, Lambdadelta is also a total prankster and teases people incessantly, which -is- more of a Satoko personality trait.
