It's probably fine enough for most people but I'm used to speed!

By my understanding this kind of thing is what caused the decline of colour gangs in Ikebukuro from their high point in the past.
The gang feuds got too heated and carried away, causing injury even to normal people unrelated to the gangs.
So both the law enforcement and Yakuza stepped in to tell them to "chill out"

I wonder how often stuff like this has repeated in Tokyo's modern history.
Yakuza fighting proxy wars for control over territory using independent gangs like these kids.

I'd say this show hasn't quite vilified the Yakuza but they have been mostly avoiding the cool romanticism you get of the Yakuza in Japanese fiction.
Like there's the big bad Yakuza group from outside Tokyo that's behind all this, but they've not really talked about the Yakuza that's already staked out Ikebukuro they're presumably fighting with.
In reality they're probably not much better on a moral level, but no attention has been given to them.

Even if she was angry that's probably the kind of thing that's really going to fuck her up.
No one should have to inflict that kind of injury at that young an age.

I wonder if that guy right at the end there was like, the actor who played the MC in the live-action drama of this series.

The silent credit roll at the start of the Erai release of this always messes with me.

Yuyu seems to still be hallucinating her onee-sama everywhere
It vanished for a while in the middle of

the series after she had her problems kinda resolved from partnering up with Riri
But I guess she's still kind of messed in the head.

This series has a few too many characters for its length.
There's a lot of cute girls and they seem pretty interesting.
But it was probably impossible to have a chance to spotlight them all while maintaining a semblence of a plot

It kinda seems like Yuyu's onee-sama was a bit crazy in the head
And might've used her death to imprint herself on the monsters.

Also Yuyu in the halfway state between her normal mode and berserker mode is a pretty nice look.

Sonoka's had some pretty nice character development throughout the series
She started off kinda shy and then went full baby after that older pilot flew the suicide mission
But now she's gotten pretty confident and showing off some of the same bluster her Aneue did

He had the zombie Thor shoot off another Hyper Beam
But this time it didn't nuke the command center like the first one.

He's kinda dressed up like a Fate/GO character now too.

I don't think there's anything wrong with a kid getting spoiled
Even if maybe he's not really a kid mentally, everyone's going to assume he's a kid because, well.
He should really just enjoy his time with this family that's so kindly taken him under their wing.

They can just pop in between worlds whenever they're bored and check out the entertainment there.

Even if he's got the memories of his adult life he's probably got the hormones and brain development of a younger boy.
Which probably changes how he can really think about things a fair bit.

Hard to know if that's a product of his personality from his old life or the brain of a kid he's got now though.

This feels like the start of a crisis arc

I think being at risk of their livelihood getting cancelled is definitely a crisis!

Though realistically I don't think it's feasible their ratings could ever hit 0% though
Like the number of people that would have to rate it poorly versus just a few that need to give it favourable ratings would be an absolute statistical unlikelihood

Maybe I'm wrong and don't know Japanese television culture though.

The MC in this series has a real thirst for cute girls.

We saw a similar thing in that show about the lady who became a late-night radio host.
Her manager needed her to get a sponsor for their show before they could put the show on.

Dangerous episode

Hasn't pretty much every episode of this series been at least a bit dangerous though.

Oh when she talked about "this place" I thought she meant the house they live in.
But they'll just do a concert at the station nearby.

It's a decently nice show overall.
A bit clowny at times but the girls are cute and it's not too flat a show.

Yeah, I like it.
It's nothing super spectacular but it's comfy and the characters are very cute
