I was reminded again lately If you haven't played Outer Wilds (not to be confused with The Outer Worlds), I'd really recommend it. It is a fantastic, very space-y game.
One of my favourite games of recent times. If I remember correctly you like space stuff, and it's a game all about space.
Enen had a very "end of season" kind of feel to its last episode. But we've still got like two or three episodes!
Anno
The way Asakusa is still the super traditional Japanese style is a nice aesthetic. Though the kinda steampunk Tokyo of the rest of the city is nice too.
Anno
Hibana coming along kinda feels more than anything as an excuse to give her some screentime since she hasn't had any at all lately. Not that I'm complaining since she's cute.
Anno
Most of the people in white we saw originally were pretty scary people, but more recently there's been more of them that are more mook-ish rather than boss entities. That one that was stalking this guy got taken down with just a sword and no fire powers.
Anno
Oh that's a pattern I hadn't picked up on. That all the people who have an Adolla Link get disfigured in some way. Though there's some exceptions, like Shinra.
Anno
The PV last episode hinted Tamaki might get a power-up moment this episode. Maybe she's well suited to this power training.
The captain did say he was gonna train them in something that basically uses the "fight or flight" adrenaline rush to boost their strength. I guess by roasting them over an open flame he's gonna get them panicked.
Anno
It's a pretty sympathetic situation though. She only really became a firefighter and sister because people kept telling her it was a good thing. And now she's hit a point where she needs motivation to be serious, but external motivation like other people's approval doesn't really give enough.
A training arc is a bit of a weak way to finish off a season, unless I've been caught unawares and this is continuing next season (I'm like 90% certain it isn't) But I guess they couldn't really stretch out that last arc in the underground any longer.
Anno
Lina really has been a bit of a kick-the-dog character. No matter who she goes up against she always loses.
Though she is picking fights with OP characters like Onii-sama and Miyuki. But still.
Them talking about parasites at first makes you think they're talking about actual brain worms
Anno
When magic is real I guess you can get all sorts of parasites.
Wow gosh
Anno
I was kind of under the impression these parasites were beings of energy though. So did she launch magic so cold she was able to freeze even magic. Er freeze even energy.
I guess them being energy makes sense and it's more mahouka but the word makes me think of worms
Anno
They've been totally hijacking human bodies all season, which is where the parasite comes from. But just as magic energy parasites rather than biological microbial parasites.
Anno
I still insist naming your kid "Kuroba" when you work for a Yotsuba Group is real asshole parenting.
Anno
Staring into that guy's eyes might be disconcerting. Er must be, even.
These ones looks a bit bulkier and heftier than the Goblin Slayer goblins though. In a different series they'd probably be called hobgoblins or orcs.
Anno
Wow that's an absolute sea of slimes.
Anno
The poop slimes going around with wooden clubs makes for a really silly sight. I guess as scavenger slimes in addition to eating refuse they also like scavenging inedible things from the surrounding area too.
there's no way this wasn't influenced by goblin slayer
Anno
Hm, I dunno. I think both it and GS might've been inspired by similar fantasy tropes. And goblins are a pretty standard early-game fantasy creature to go up against.
Anno
Jeff is such a ... bland name for an adventurer. Like you're born into a fantasy world where magic and monsters are real and you can make a career off fighting monsters. And your parents call you Jeff.
I wonder where they all came from. Those caves they were in were abandoned mines, that's normally not really enough area for well over a thousand living things the size of those goblins to reside in comfortably. Nevermind the huge one.
I guess goblins don't need a lot of resources okay adachi oka lets start
Anno
I'm more thinking about the physical space! Mines don't tend to be all that spacious inside really. But I guess fantasy dungeons that are abandoned mineshafts in JRPGs and MMOs are always open, cavernous places. People have no sense of realism!
>>901554 maybe it's linked to a vast underworld network like in other series
Anno
This series likes its gay pairings so much it even made one for the little sister and not-Erio
Anno
I wish I could hibernate in a kotatsu and not come out.
Anno
Trains are fun. I'd like to do more travelling on trains. Not that you really can until the pandemic passes over. And not like there's anywhere to go by train 'round here. More so I'd like to do more travelling by train in Japan I guess. Europe would probably be good too but that would require me going to Europe.
Anno
That's a good way to translate for Shiritori Have the literal translation along with the Japanese word. Though I guess people too unfamiliar with Japanese might not understand what they're seeing. It's kind of contingent on knowing how Shiritori works.
When they first introduced this new girl I thought she'd be a homewrecker between Shimamura and Adachi. But it kinda feels, so far at least, that Shimamura's not too comfortable around her. Unlike with how close and comfortable she is with Adachi.
Anno
Adachi keeps pushing the issue closer and closer to the danger zone. Eventually she's gonna spaghetti all over Shimamura. There's probably only so much of her own one-sided feelings she can tolerate.
You've got to be sure your conquest is attainable before going into it though! At this point it still doesn't really feel like Shimamura could reciprocate her feelings. Though that's in part because she makes a pointed effort to not think about their relationship in those matters. Maybe Adachi finally going in would make her confront it.
Personally I like freshwater fish as much as saltwater. And other kinds of seafood aren't too much up my ally. But I guess for a Japanese person being deprived of seafood/fish must suck.
Though that doesn't mean she'll be able to find rice there.
Anno
Man Yuna has a -real- cynical view of government. Like she's even been shown on several occasions that the people in this kingdom's governing ranks are for the most part quality people. But her first instinct is still to assume they'll be useless and greedy.
Anno
The bandits that are embargoing the town are probably a non-concern for Yuna though really. The kraken might be a bit more of a problem, if not because it's too hard to fight, but because fighting on the water might be a logistical issue for her.
this brown girl reminds me of someone from dungeon
Anno
Those two sisters in the Loki Familia. She's got the hair of one of them and the bust of the other.
Anno
Oh she's not as brown out in broad daylight. Looks like it was just the lighting of the guildhall.
Anno
Wow what's that Come on you can't just taunt us with that and not let us know what it is.
Anno
Hm yeah, I had a feeling. I think that merchant guildmaster is conspiring with the bandits to make profits off the food situation in that town. And it looks like the adventurer guildmaster is suspicious of him too.
Anno
She really doesn't like being interrupted. To be fair I don't really like being interrupted either.
