My pet theory is she's intentionally screwing with his chances of getting with Izanami.
Under the guise of actually helping him.

that she's attempting to foil the prophecy by ruining his chances to fall to her?

Well that might be the cultural ramifications of it.
But within the limits of the story I think it has something to do with the whole End Of The World thing that's going on.

Though the MC isn't an Izanagi so there is a distinction of sorts.

I'm just suspicious that Hina/Odin isn't actually intending to help the MC get with her and wants to keep them apart with some regards to this End Of The World deadline.
Whether or not it's part of ensuring the end of the world or preventing it.
