So I don't know if you caught wind of the news, but HorribleSubs has officially shut down! Which makes trying to get shows now ... kind of a pain. There's thankfully some groups that do the same kind of Crunchyroll/Funi rips that they did but they can be a bit harder to find. And I can't promise they do XDCC since I'm not familiar with the supply lines for that system. For the time being I've defaulted to grabbing stuff from Erai-Raws since they at least for torrents offer a similar service to HorribleSubs.
Also there was a LOT that aired over the weekend like holy fuck. Some good stuff in there though.

I've double-listed a few things that are available from both fansubs and rip groups like Erai/Horrible. The fansubs would obviously be better, but the rip versions might be easier for you to find.
Erai's releases are reliable and about the same quality as HorribleSubs in both sub and encode quality. I would probably recommend them if they're easy for you to get downloads from.
They were around for a while now, but from what I heard in the past they were selective about what they ripped where HS was pretty indescriminate. But I was looking through the stuff on that list and pretty much everything was available from them, so they might've picked up the slack now. Either way they're probably the most straightforward source for anime now, if not necessarily the best.
If a better alternative makes itself available as time goes on I'll try to let you know!

Going straight down the list, 100-man is an isekai where I think the MC is gonna be a tryhard about being super cool and rational while being a hero but I don't know if he gets punished or rewarded for that mentality. Still, isekai series so it'll probably at least be junk food-y fun
Assault Lily is a SHAFT anime that's part of a multimedia franchise I think. Not sure what the content is but I think it's cute girls doing action stuff and has tonnes of gay undertones.
Dungeon ni Deai etc. is DanMachi season three so that should be pretty straightforward. Might want to watch that one with Bang since he was catching up on the whole series this past week.
Jujutsu Kaisen is an action shounen out of Shounen Jump. It's apparently a lot like early-days Bleach in aesthetic and attitude, but I've never read anything from the manga.
Don't know shit about Kami-tachi but I think it's a reincarnation-style isekai.
Love Live is an anime for one of the Love Live mobage so I don't know what the story will be like but I do think it has its own cast of original characters that it focuses on. I think the little sister of one of the Sunshine girls is the MC?
Mahouka Koukou is Sasuga Onii-sama season two, 'nuff said.
Majo no Tabitabi is I think a bit like Kino no Tabi with a cute witch MC -- it'll probably be similar episodic journeying kinds of stories. I know ToN is a big fan of the series and might join us tonight for it if the loser wakes up.
I know absolutely nothing about Munou na Nana but its tags on my summary site say it's "Psychological, Supernatural, Thriller"
Senyoku no I'm not even gonna try is an anime-original fantasy series, so I don't have anything to say about it.
Tonikaku Kawaii is a newer series by the author of Hayate the Combat Butler. I don't know if you ever followed that series but I really enjoyed it as a teen and I'd be up for seeing what this one is like.

what I was going to bring up is, this is actually chapters 9 and 13 of the first LN, they chose not to start at chapter 1 and going this way does help set some stuff up, but you don't get to immediately have any fun or sassy Elaina bits to start with either.

Yeah, chapter 1 would basically be after this episode/chapter 13 ends. But the stories themselves are all pretty self contained on purpose, so you can hop in pretty much anytime for the most part. And I assume chapter 1 is next not just because it makes sense but because they show a scene from it in the trailer(s)

some last trivia bits are that the LN actually has an inconsistency in that Elaina's wearing her witch outfit in the training, shows it in an actual artwork too, and then Chapter 13 has her get it before setting out, and the anime fixes it and made me notice. Secondly, Elaina may have obliterated her competition in the exam, and then you see her get destroyed by Fran here and might think it's weird, but Elaina's narration during the fran fight doesn't even have her get the chance to do that little wind blast, Fran just overwhelms her with speed and pressure, she looks back on it and thinks that it was to knock her out of her comfort zone, and given the conversation that happens right after that makes total sense. I just wanted to point that out since it might feel off to hear about her being so strong just to see Fran crush her so thoroughly.

oh wait one laaast thing there's a chapter in the first LN I kinda like personally, but wouldn't think they'd animate it, but now that I've seen how they'd animate the magic fights, I'd like to see it get picked because it contains one of the few magic fights so far (Elaina really takes the avoid dangert thing to heart most of the time). And the promotional art for the anime shows characters I haven't even read about yet after two volumes, so we probably won't be doing every chapter unless they haul ass (which even then would be difficult). Volume 3 hits the end of this month so hopefully those characters I don't know about show up then, otherwise I'll feel left out!

Hm, I don't know if it's that much derivative. Girls with gay overtones fighting monsters is several decades old now. The only Madoka trope in particular to me is the stoic dark-haired girl and pink-haired naive girl. Which definitely does get used a lot.
I've never really played much of the PSO franchise. I think there might've been a PSP one I played a very small bit of, or maybe a PS2 one at a friends' house. I have a vague understanding of the series but definitely am not familiar with the details.

Because this series is, well, you know how much of a legend it is. People have been hyper analyzing scenes from the PVs and whatever material they can get their hands on. It seems like it might do a bit more of the light-hearted stuff that was in the VN that the original anime cut because of how fast they were trying to adapt the parts.

The vocal shifts are a really nice twist on the original VN's take of being a Sound Novel as Ryuukishi liked to distinguish them as. Higurashi and Umineko both were great at using audio to build that sense of dread and unease.

Also the original VN was pretty pervy at times in a way that didn't make it through in the original two anime seasons DEEN did for Higurashi. Stuff like Rika losing one of the club's games and having to go around wearing cat ears and a tail on a leash being Keiichi's pet cat or something. They padded out a lot of the VN with goofy stuff like that so that the unease and suspense came in a little more slowly.

I've only heard of a single cour confirmed so far. Which is a bit worriesome since the first adaptation of the first four VN arcs was two-cour, and they still had to do some super compression to get it all in there. Buuuut at the same time the PV material for this new adaptation, the people who have been analyzing it, think they've only seen stuff from the first three arcs, plus maybe a few small early introductions here any there. So this one cour might only be three of the original arcs. It's hard to tell! Plus some times the online information is incorrect or not accurately reported and a second-cour follows up the first one without us being told it wll. For the moment though, only one cour is confirmed.
They showed both twins so we'll probably be getting their arc. It was the second one in the first adaptation so it'll probably be second here too I bet.
