I dunno why they didn't put one out.
If you don't want to download the 1080p version or deal with the ... 360p? super low-res version I think Erai Raws might have a copy.

I guess it's been a while since we watched this.
I think they were still in the middle of that game with the bigname team.

I'd go for 1080p resolution shows more often if HorribleSubs' rips weren't so awfully bloated for like almost no visible improvement.
Shows that get fansubs because they're on Netflix always come in resolutions higher than 720p natively and they look pretty nice for it.

Like a few episodes back I grabbed an additional 1080p version of a Fruits Basket episode because I wanted some higher-quality caps of the gorgeous outfits they've got in the latest ED and it's like barely an actual improvement.
I guess I'll wait for a BD release to see if I can get some nicer clips.

Oh wait yeah I remember now.
Their Coach-chan had a really ominous message at the end of the last episode we watched that sounded like she's gonna over-exert their tall-as-fuck guy who's got the stamina of a paper sheet.
And this game's going to start tumbling down.

He should have known better than to stand there and listen to someone on the other team.

The screen even had a little text bar stating "Game in progress" as he just stood there listening, yeah.

I feel like these guys should all just quit basketball
they never win

It's definitely a bit of a drag hah hah.
They're nice boys but they're totally out of their league.
They're a team that's been playing like half a year or so and a third of their members had barely played any basketball in their lives before joining the team.
And they've got so few members that they don't really have much options for subbing out in case some get exhausted.
But they're constantly going up against teams that have been practicing for years and some that even make it to regional qualifiers.

I get everyone loves an underdog story but I think a story of a rookie team going up against small fry and winning as they keep trying to bite off more than they can chew messing with bigger teams has a charm too.

Yeah this game's really getting out of hand fast.
The actually-good team is gaining a really big lead.

And the school's morale for the team is in the pits, hah hah.
That's probably gonna weigh heavy on the players too, not having people that will even sit there for them.

Is this coach gonna try and snipe the MC now too.
First he went for their diva punk kid now he's going for their short kid.

Yeah for how small he is, the MC's got some stellar accuracy when he's allowed to make shots.
That's not even potential that's where he's at right now.
Kid sinks three-pointers like it's a breeze.

This other short guy looks like "MC but grumpy" though.
The OP also seems to kind of set up a dynamic between them too.

Man an episode titled "Break" could really be interpreted all sorts of ways.

Is the MC team gonna get a break away? Is the opposing team gonna widen their break away? Are they gonna break the spirits of the MC team?
Is the entire episode gonna consist of what happens during the halftime break?

Really my money's on that last one, hah hah.

if i was going to take a stab at a simple way they could do this
they search for kaburagi's body and maybe even find it
but for one reason or another
it ends up being natsume who has to enter in and save the day
i imagine by disabling the field
and then they assault the whole thing
and kaburagi dies in the assault

Or alternatively, Kaburagi gets his old body back, and the two of them do the full-on assault as proper AIBOU reunited.

i considered that option too
it would certainly be more hype
but harder to write easily

I think this cyclops girl, the pink one right now, is Nonon's seiyuu.
Trigger likes to use her a lot, even for minor roles.
But she doesn't get a lot of jobs outside of Trigger I think.

Yeah the saturated colours and character designs are pretty Trigger-y.
And they both have Western influences, though for different reasons.

i could probably go into an entire essay about how trigger this show is

The Commander seemed earnestly confused by the realization that by saving Kaburagi was him working against the system too.

I wonder if the cyborgs' consciousness can be fully transferred into the biological bodies they use to play Deca-Dence.
That kinda feels where this is going, with Kaburagi trying to free the cyborgs fromt -from the shackles of the system.

good episode

Yeah it was a bit goofier while still managing to be exciting.
My only real complaint is despite this show supposing to be a dual-protag show between Kaburagi and Natsume, Kaburagi still -consistently- steals the spotlight and Natsume feels more like a secondary protagonist aside from the rare occasion she gets her time in the limelight.
Kaburagi's a cool oji-character but I want to see Natsume do more.

i think he just wants people to make decisions for themselves
he wants society to be less autocratic and for individuals to have more freedom
the conversation with minato just now shows that he doesn't really have a plan for after the coup, but he knows he wants a coup

Well yeah but Kabu at the least I think clearly wants to be a real boy.
So my curiousity still stands.

he might in the end but it seems like his way of viewing the world is based a lot more in ideas and concepts than physicalities

What will these dorks catch this week

Bit weird, you'd think the fishing club would be excited to do some rain fishing.
But maybe as kids there's a bit too much risk trying to fish the ocean in the middle of the rainy season.

Yeah, looks like they're doing some freshwater fishing.
And going for prawns which is pretty easy to do in fairly shallow water.

Freshwater fishing is mostly what I've done.
Ocean fishing is more exciting but freshwater is comfy

I've never fished an ocean before.
But I also haven't really fished a river either.
Just lakes, which are probably a bit of a mid-point between the two.

That's not what my experience watching Vtubers has told me.

Prawns make me kind of uneasy.
They have a particularly alien look to them compared to most creatures on this planet.

Hina's gonna generate an urban myth about a ghost girl haunting this bridge at this rate.

She was done in by her own overconfidence.

Now it's a cooking show!
Though cooking has always been a sub-component of this show.

Cooking fish is an important part of fishing.

This definitely feels like the most detailed the cooking segments of the show have been though.

If the fishing union is selling permits to fish waters they really ought ot have cheaper permits for youth.
Like they said earlier in the episode that they didn't have to worry about permits before entering high school but even high school students aren't likely gonna fish at the regularity and volume of adult fishers.
So it feels only fair teens shouldn't have to pay for an adult permit.
But maybe even that's still a bit pricey for their club funding.

Episode FIVE(5) of this

So the cop boy's been stalking her since her highschool days.
I guess for otomege standards that's supposed to be charming.

Funny that MAPPA is doing the animation for both The God of High School and this show this season.

I wonder if these calls and text messages she has with the boys are replicas of the ones the player can have with them in the mobage.
When I was looking into this franchise apparently there's phone calls you the player can take while playing the game, in addition to having text message dialogue with the boys and commenting on their social media.
It all seems very elaborate for a mobage.

There's a lot of unelaborated history between these two characters that the anime doesn't really go into it feels.
Like normally we'd get a much more detailed flashback or exposition on the history of these two and this restaurant.
And some context as to why she thought it would be problematic if the cop boy went in, especially considering there seems to have been no problem in the end.

I guess they've filled the details in properly in the end though.
They fit those character backstories in more smoothly than you normally see in a series like this.

Well that's one way to trick her I guess.
Another dream forecast of the future though.

A whole lot of them is quite ambiguous.

Well this is a flashback to their highschool days so it's probably a teen with the knife.

I don't blame her for thinking a letter stained with blood in her desk is a threat and not an earnest missive.
He was kind of a goof for not pushing harder and getting his underling to re-write it properly.

Continuing with our onslaught of sequel-itus, Machikado Mazoku getting a second season greenlit got leaked earlier today.

So far we've gotten hints and scenes of how the other three boys have history with the MC.
Looks like the boring professor guy gets his turn next episode.
