I don't really like when anime does the thing where character is seemingly seriously injured and then is fine in the first 5 seconds in the next episode.

It is a bit cheap. From a narrative sense there's probably easy ways to hang a cliffhanger that don't involve a trick like that.

So the creepy priest guy was a snake type beastman. I guess that's a bit expected. He was a snake oil salesman, a snake of a man, the snake tempting Eve (Nazuna)

Well it's probably supposed to be gorilla arms. Definitely more stylistic than Michiru since you won't really ever find a pink gorilla.

There's a lot of Imaishi/traditional GAINAX vibes in this episode. From the way things cut and some of the characters are animated.

It's a bit rushed but this development is at least kinda grounded in the stuff the show's told us so far. The only thing that's kinda goofy is the CEO guy was a secret beastman all along.
At least even when going kind of fast Trigger's pretty good at delivering an emphatic finale.

With shows like this which are developed for Netflix I wonder if there's really a need to be constrained to the traditional twelve/thirteen-episode limit. A lot of shows could benefit from maybe having another two or so episodes so things don't get compacted.
I had a feeling she'd not turn back. She should at least get to where she can switch like others.

Yeah, she managed it once earlier in the show. But I guess as an accidentally-created beastman she doesn't necessarily have the psychological habits a natural one have from birth.

That was a fun show. Very Trigger/10 I wonder if they've got anything else up this year or next.
They're doing a Cyberpunk game tie-in anime series but I think that's not out until 2022.
It seems to happen a lot. Especially combined with class bullying. This series has a lot of class bullying too.
Also this prissy brat kinda looks like another big magic bully from earlier in the series. That little brother of the portal magic guy.

Yeah water isn't really a great offensive magic when you just use it like a cannon. If he had the creativity to use it with finesse it would be good though. Like trap someone in water so they can't breathe.

Doesn't help we don't really get ages on most people. Like how old are most of the Black Bulls anyway? I think we might've gotten ages for Asta and Yuno early in on the series but they don't really talk ages ever.

Yeah but a bunch of them are depicted drinking. That's generally a no-no for youth on television in Japan. Granted not all of them, but at the least the red-haired girl, the portal guy, and maybe the goth mime, I think have been shown drinking.

I wonder how often teams do strategy like intentionally missing free-shots. I guess if it pays off you can turn the one point (?) of a free-shot into a standard basket's two points.
Their team has some real good coordination by now. The players kinda vary in skill level but they do a good job of getting the ball around to their people who can sink hoops.
The MC team is definitely really goofy. For a serious basketball team like this one they're playing against it's probably a total cultural confusion

Playing against the MC team to figure out how to best use your shorter players is a bit of a smart idea though. Since the MC team plays a lot of strategy around the MC who's a total shrimp.

Ah well I guess they're gonna lose this game too. Sounds like she's gonna keep their tall glass cannon in the game too long and he's gonna collapse.
I think there was supposed to be a condition for this game that only if they win do they get to keep their basketball team together. But it's an overwhelmingly better team and Nao just gave some pretty heavy indication they're gonna lose pretty badly. So I guess it's gonna be a "fail the condition but win enough hearts to keep going" situation.
Ah well at the least there are the kind of fish she wanted to catch in the area But yeah quickly running into problems. I wonder why the bait they were using last time worked way better.

Oh it wasn't the bait it was hooksize. Among other things but I feel like if your catch can't get the hook in its mouth you're kinda screwed from the get-go.
