Some parts of this reminds me a bit of the early parts of Kono Suba. Not quite as crazy and high energy but the stuff about work and trying to be a fledgling guild are kind of in those flavours.
It definitely highlights Cygames' experience with mobage and coming up with good character designs.

I'm still here I was just off doing a show count to see how much we are actually watching this season. Even if we eventually get around to some of the stuff we haven't started from this season, like Honzuki season two or Appare-Ranman, we're still actually under twenty-five shows per week Throw in the delays stuff is getting because of the pandemic and we actually might have a pretty light line-up this season.
Whenever I type out something like "only twenty-five shows per week" it always kinda makes me feel weird. Because that's still honestly a stupid amount of content to go through.

It's pretty harsh on her but it's probably necessary suffering to go through. She's no longer just doing work for practice and training, this is stuff that's actual work for clients and patrons. I think it's fair for him to demand the absolute correct choice of design for the work she's doing.

But yeah I had a feeling this is what he was trying to get her to realize. The focus of the piece is the lady, so the background should accent that, not simply be high-quality art.

Her goal of becoming an artist kinda makes her put all other problems aside. I think it's a good mentality to keep at least. Even for a male apprentice which wouldn't have the issues she has of the whole societal HAET WOMAN going on, apprenticing under an artist is pretty taxing.
