Oh yeah new season new OP

I feel this series is just a bit dull.

Some of the characters are kinda sweet and it's not bad.
But I'm not really engrossed by basketball in the first place and the actual basketball doesn't make that better.
It's watchable, at least.

Ah. Yeah, this guy.
At least they have more or less the same enthusiasm for his return.

Twenty-five episodes in and they finally have uniforms.

Also THEE NINEHEADS DRAGON

That's another thing about this one, the pacing is very slow.

They seem to really want to get into the nitty-gritty play-by-play of the game.
That really bogs down the series.
Like a basketball game is like an hour of actual playtime without all the breaks and time outs.
Ends up being closer to two hours or so of actual gametime.
That's an easy five episodes of anime episodes.

This reminds me of Haikyuu without a lot of the charm.

Kuroko did the games like that too.
The problem is that it was a lot more exciting than this.

The original material for this is actually a Korean webcomic.
It's pretty popular in Japan and worldwide.
I read a good chunk of it like seven or eight years ago but haven't been keeping up with it.
Buti -But it's cool to see it finally get an anime.

I like the bold linework.

Yeah the style is really well-done.
The earlier chapters had some kinda clunky QUALITY to them so it's cool to see it redone in this nice artwork.

I need to convince Blue to get to watching this.
I know he's familiar with the webtoon.
He needs to be on this experience with me.

His voice is a little rougher than the average protagonist-kun.

Bam is a crazy motherfucker.
He's kinda dull personality-wise but he does some ridiculous things.

He also seems to be ridiculously handsome to almost every older woman that comes across his path.

He does have pretty good design.

This series kinda has some Hunter X Hunter vibes where the setting is more or less just foundation to show off cool powers.
And each arc has a kinda novel gamey gimmick to it.

There's a lot of variables that need to align for it to work.

Protagonist-kun is particularly useless/useful in this.

Kotoko's imaginary Nanase really has a thing for clobbering people in the head.

Man Kuro's being pretty metal right now.

They should really pull that steel rebar out of Kuro so he can regenerate properly.

Looks like he has it taken care of.

Must feel nice to ram that into her for once.

One thing that's kinda been nagging me through this arc is WHY.
Like why is Rikka going to all this trouble to make a real a fictional murderous ghost.
She's got to have a pretty driving motivation to stab herself over and over again in her attempts to make this successful.

I guess arguing on the internet is going to save the day.

Yeah that's what I kind of thought would be normal.
My case hasn't really ever been in a position it would risk breaking but just from looking at the material it doesn't look like it would shatter.
Seems kind of backwards to make a protective case that itself is kind of fragile.
