I feel they could have seeded the girl with the psychic powers that's been powering this whole id machine a bit better. Maybe just a scene early on of her floating in the liquid chamber. Or a talk about how when people get close to the machine they start to experience the symptoms she induces.

I'd kinda like to see more of them tag-teaming these wells though. The one the Hole guy and Sakaido did together was funny, and judging from how they handled John Walker in this episode they'd probably make for entertaining Mei Tantei-ing.
Nine episodes behind us and there still isn't really a clear idea of what the over-arching plot is here. This is kind of like those one-cour isekai/fantasy anime that only really gets to the end of the prologue by the season finale.

I mean sure this show hasn't had the best quality but I don't understand how most of the audio can be fine and then there's moments where it's not.

I get it's trying to be a cool siege defense moment but it's kinda just more goofy and corny. Which is fine too but not really the feel they were going for.
It's not that much of an asspull, Sirens are hinted a lot to being from the future that's why they use lasers and stuff though this is the first time I'm aware of them using a cruise missile

I think having personable villains helps. Kancolle's just fighting against monsters but this had the war between the two and then uniting against the Sirens.
