The chronological disparity between Railgun and Index makes watching Railgun kinda weird at times. Like Frenda popped up in the first episode and it's like "Well this is kinda depressing knowing the events of Index III". And there's some novel stuff from Index that makes characters like Shokuhou funny to see.

Funnily enough GranBlue actually dodges it well enough by just focusing on the main party cast. Though it's still a kinda dry series because the plot doesn't translate great to anime.

The dialogue scenes in this episode are a bit better than the ones last episode. Last week's episode felt really VN-y. Like they were really clearly transposed from the mobage's story skits. There's still an element of it this episode still but the dialogue is better. And the shots of the scenes are less "Camera focused on girl who's talking face and torso".
The original manga's author is at least quite aware as information sciences students there's no reasons for them to be wearing the labcoats. They just like them.
I guess she's the team mom for all these hopeless nerds.
