So far it still seems like all the sub groups are small, well, I don't want to call them amateurs since pretty much all fansubbers are amateurs, but you get the idea. There hasn't been any of the groups that still occasionally do subs for shows that don't get streams HorribleSubs can rip that have done subs for it yet. I checked with PAS who've been doing shows like that recently but after finishing Beastars last season they mentioned they weren't gonna do anything this season. Maybe we'll yet see something from eomeone like Asenshi or ... well I don't actually know who's still around anymore.
I find it a little weird since it's definitely a series that has enough name reknown amongst the kind of people who'd do fansubs.

Rika and I did try another episode of it. I would say I found it kinda dry but watchable. If we weren't already oversaturated with shows that season we'd probably have kept with it but it would have been low priority. It's still ongoing though, I think it's got at least two cours in the first season.

It took a long time to arrive but this is about what I expected, yeah. The elves' plotting revolved way too much around the big monster skeleton for it to not be relevant to their backstory. I had a pretty good hunch Licht was gonna turn into it. Though I guess I expected a proper enraged transformation and not the composed way he went.
Yeah, and the bird being a part of this story this will be the big plot point for awhile

She's got little horns in this post-bird transformation though. Didn't have them in the flashbacks we've seen her with the Wizard King. I wonder what she did to earn them.

i got pretty bored with arifureta for a similar kind of reason they did bring in new characters but they were more tiring than the story itself

He also got way too powerful way too fast. Like they spent still quite a lot of time in that first dungeon or whatnot. If they'd scaled his ascent to power better with the descent to the bottom of the dungeon it would have been more interesting.

I honestly don't really have much investment in the show, aidoru stuff doesn't really do it for me. But one of the girls is voiced by this Japanese-American girl who lived I think in Texas for a lot of her youth before her family moved to Japan. So she can slip really fluently in and out of Japanese and English. A year or two back she did some stream content where someone asked her about that background and she went from being a cheery Japanese aidoru to a kinda normal-sounding American girl Like at the drop of a pin.
That's like the single reason I'm curious about this show so if it's whatever I'm not particularly driven.

A lot of the voice lines have been pretty amateurish. They're kinda stiff at times or have flat emotional quality. I guess training for aidoru activities doesn't make you a particularly good voice actor.
i like these character portraits at the end i missed about half the episode because i was checkin on my mum though

The original character designs are all done by different artists but it looks like they've consolidated the designs for the anime to one artist. Some of them definitely look designed by the artist for K-On. The one the Japanese-American girl voices is designed by kantoku. The Wikipedia article has all the artists but I wasn't really paying attention to most of them hah hah
Them all being different animals must make beauty contests like that weird. Though I guess it would have made more sense to just call them Miss Seton or osmething.
