Puppet Gowther has really worn all sorts of personalities throughout his life.
This one is really meek.

Also this princess of Liones is about the age the current king would have been this far back in time.

And since he's calling her aneue then she's probably gonna be DEAD before long.

I imagine he'll end up bringing a bit of ruin here.

She picked an unideal guy to fall in love with though.
As we've seen Gowther doesn't have the full equipment of a normal man.

He's got to make true on his title of Faerie King.
Can't be running around with a piddly amount of power like that.

oh the trick was he had the soul the whole time

This is a good use of the ED playing over the scene.

I guess with the power boost Gowther got from acknowledging his soul that rounds out all the Sins' power-up arcs.

There sure are some pretty creative ... androids? cyborgs? in this world.

This is such a fun OP.

that guy was a weirder face than many of the robots

He's got like bargain-bin snake eyes on such a fat face.
It makes for a pretty strange sight hah hah

Honestly most people in this series look pretty weird though.
Especially the people in this evil super-corporation.

Juzo wants to be a cool-headed noir detective but he's surrounded by totally the wrong crowd.

Oh he even got himself a move-in girlfriend.

All his friends are fairly normal looking people.

Well he set himself up quite the deathflag.
And swiped something from her, though I didn't catch what.
Looks like some drugs or something I guess.

Wow he sure can JUMP

Someone like that probably isn't someone he should just be trusting idly.

Oh the plot threads are coming together for this arc.

It's always kind of a slow burn with this series.
Things rarely accelerate from 0 to 100 all too much.

I haven't actually looked into what's in this OAD.
Hopefully it's not too banal.

The series is getting a season two next year, so this is probably mostly to help people keep it fresh in their minds.

Also I saw earlier that Honzuki no Gekokujou is getting a second season next year too.
So that'll be nice since we'll probably only get to the end of this prologue in this one season.

I can kind of sympathize with Rimuru though.
Once you never have to sleep you must eventually start craving the sweet surrender into dreams.

I think not needing to sleep would be great.

Well yeah, same.
But I can definitely also understand wanting to be able to sleep every now and then too.
Eventually it doesn't become a matter of need but eventually a matter of want.

... This is all in Rimuru's dream, right?

I wonder what's harder, teaching a bunch of monsters to pro wrestle or teaching them sumo wrestling.

I think these people are all too powerful for sumo.

Well if they're all too powerful then at least they're on equal footing to sumo each other.

He's such a mean sensei.

She gets to sit behind him.

This crazy old lady and her crazy granddaughter are definitely here to fuck with things.

Though I guess the crazy granddaughter might bite off more than she can chew with these kids though.
They're all pretty rambunctious.

If anything their Sensei seems almost excited to throw them all at her.

Playing the koto and singing at the same time seems like it would be a pretty enchanting experience.

koto is serious business

I bet there's schools for piano and violin and other historically classic instruments that are full of these kinds of serious petty politics and spite too.
Wherever there's pride in something, these kinds of things arise naturally.

Ironically by insulting them by saying "You're not ready to play <the piece Hozuki composed>", she's kind of indirectly complimenting Hozuki.
For putting together such a piece worth that kind of respect.

Wow, hot.

you'd think a club like this would be mostly female

Well it was entirely female aside from Glasses the year before the show started.
This kind of make-up is probably quite the exception.

Boats!

I guess this'll be more slice-of-life-y after all the pretty intense battle episodes of the past few episodes.

This destroyer is talking with such authority but she's a tiny little girl.
Kind of makes the whole thing lose impact hah hah

She's all about justice in the game too.

They all think she's in a horrible situation
But she's being treated quite nicely.

A lot of the battleships in Azur Lane seem to be quite small girls.

And of course all the Brits are off playing golf.

The Brits playing golf is a nice tough.

I also like illustrious's hazy eyes
she has less defined pupils than everybody

Sounds like she needs glasses.

The still shots of other boats is better than QUALITY action shots

They've had some pretty decently-animated of smalltime boats in earlier episodes though.
But if they're limited on funds, yeah, a good way to conserve time/money budgets.

No-coat Enterprise is quite nice.
I like the sleeveless shirt.

Yeah, she's well designed.
Most of the big boats have cool outfits.

All these little girls really should be in bed, asleep.

Boats are really all old ladies anyway, all born in the first half of the 20th century.

From what I've gathered it seems like these boats are more like people imbued with the power of BOATS.
A bit different from the weird actual boats reborn as girls or whatever was up with Kancolle.

It's all magic or SF at best anyway.
