Maybe the main streets are like that but there's a lot of smaller roads in Kyoto that don't necessary meet at right angles. I think a better way to navigate the city is to head for the river since the Y-shape it makes runs fairly north-south through the city, if I remember correctly.

I've never really played these kinds of board games they've been featuring in the show. Really mostly just the generic stuff like Monopoly or some times Risk.
It would be kind of nice to have people to play board games with. I'd probably have to be the organizer for a weekly or bi-monthly occasion though. On top of finding people to actually play with hah hah.

I think her thing is that she wears green earrings in spring/summer and white ones in fall/winter. It's a really cute gimmick.

This is a situation I get more from Emmy's perspective than Midori's. If it's something you're interested in I think it's pretty natural to even after one go to be thinking how it can be better or improved. I'm sympathetic to Midori's feeling of inferiority but her lack of action is really her own shortcomings, not some particular talent of Emmy's.
