Hi hello I was wondering where you'd wandered off to. You were just around shortly past midnight.
Anno
Boku no Hero Academia BokuBen Choyoyu Episode 5-7 Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy Episode 3-7 Dr. Stone Enen no Shouboutai GranBlue Fantasy Houkago Saikoro Club Kabukicho Sherlock Kono Oto Tomare! Episode 15-20 Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Episode 2-7 PSYCHO-PASS Rifle is Beautiful Val x Love Vinland Saga Episode 5-7 Beastars Episode 5-6
You know me, always wondering around and no I had a bad weekend
I wonder where moon is
vinland do we really have 5-7 on that
Anno
Oh no hah hah that's the count for Val x Love sorry. I'd missed Vinland when I was first typing up my notepad and I guess I accidentally put it in incorrectly.
I like how Hibana wears the firefighter coat more like a fur coat or something fashionable rather than ... well, a practical use of it. The blue highlights on it make for a pretty stylish outfit.
The cursed fire monsters have really been largely forgotten at this point. I wonder if the author intended to ditch them early on, or if his editors made him go with an enemy like that while he always wanted faction warfare like this eventually.
Anno
I get the feeling she could have been fine with starting them off against small fry monsters like them. I do feel like the plan was always to get into faction warfare and all this complex drama, but having them do their normal jobs of fighting the Infernals first helps set the scene for the rest of the story. Plus while the monsters don't get fought by our main cast much anymore, they are still a part of the story, in that these Knights Templar-y people seem to be utilizing their creation to further their goals.
Anno
I hope they can save Lisa from her villainy by the end of this arc. She was cute and didn't seem to entirely want to be doing what she was doing.
Anno
I'm with Hibana though. This mad scientist-y guy still doesn't seem entirely trustworthy.
Also I feel bad for nitpicking the stuff for tonight again but we should do Hero Academia instead of whatever's left after Vinland and comfy corner. It's gonna be a real good episode.
Anno
Pft I mean I guess the whole point of being a mentalist is to get into other peoples' heads. He's been more of a stage magician than his title of mentalist up to this point though.
I wonder what cool things, like cola, he will invent along the way on this one.
Anno
Hah hah That's a pretty goofy way of explaining how the mechanisms of radio communication work.
>>771863 Looks like the first one is already queued up.
Anno
Cotton candy's one of those things I try every now and then to see what my current opinion on it is and always seem to go "Oh yeah I don't really like this".
Anno
Oh yeah I guess that makes sense. Something that can make the thin, wispy tufts for cotton candy would probably make good thin wires.
It's moderately okay I guess, but not tasty enough to offset how sticky it is. So sticky.
Anno
There's some regional variants to it that originate out of China I think, called dragon's beard candy or something. It's made similarly to cotton candy but has some differences. Dunno if it resolves the sticky nature of it though.
I bet cotton candy is very tasty though when you live in a prehistoric state and have no sweets.
Anno
Yeah that's what I was thinking too. It's like how a single Dorito chip probably has more savoury flavour than your average Medieval European peasant would taste in their lifetime.
Anno
This girl's mouth really puts me off a bit. I guess this shot's not that bad but in the scenes where they can only do a middling level of quality it's really off-putting.
Anno
>You just made me go along with a meme >Tsukkomi = meme What absurd localization.
Now that they have electricity, they could set up lights and work at night. That's a big advantage since before electricity people couldn't work at night. I wonder if the author will think to take that into account.
We're close to finishing Dr. Stone, if you're good for anime now-ish we can do Vinland and Hero Academia and then probably BokuBen.
Anno
>>771884 I feel like they ought to but this series has been more of a showcase on how cool the things they create are rather than the large-scale effects technological development has on the people around. Plus they'd have to make the lightbulbs and electrical infrastructure required for lights and while they've got some tech developed they don't really have industrial production.
I broke down and read a bit of the manga for this.
Anno
Wow I can't believe you'd do something so henious Rika.
月
i can it's really good
Anno
That's an Ika-level betrayal! Even if I'm really enjoying something I never read ahead if it's still currently airing!
Anno
The faded colours on Ragnar make him look more like an old man than a ghost really.
月
i think playing in that tournament borked out my video card MPC is all buggy haha
Anno
Is it being really cutty and jumpy, freezing kind of irregularly?
月
yeah
Anno
If you haven't tried restarting since the tournament, that's the best advice I can offer. I get that with stuff like Nanatsu or other 1080p release shows some times if I haven't rebooted in a while.
Is this the first time we've heard the priest's name.
月
canute really had a breakthrough
Anno
He's embraced a similar mentality to the one Thors adopted when he retired from fighting. That's two people close to Thorfinn that are preaching similar messages. I wonder when he will learn.
WATASHI GA KITA This'll probably be a lotta fun too.
月
oh it's this girl even i know this girl
Anno
Cute that these three all get to work together.
>>771940 Frog girl, right. She's pretty popular. Though I guess Ochako is also fairly well-known.
月
yeah she's got a really fun design
Anno
A lot of characters in this show have fairly creative designs. The mangaka is a big Western comic books nerd so he takes a lot of inspiration from good ol' fashioned super heroes.
Anno
He's also a big Star Wars fan. A lot of his location names are katakana-ified direct lifts from Star Wars names like Tatooine and Hoth.
These new guys seem stronger than the league of villains.
Anno
Yeah, because they're an established Yakuza group. The League of Villains at least previously had All-For-One backing them but with him gone it's basically just a bunch of feisty teens and social outcasts. Pretty incomparable to the resources a Yakuza group would have at their disposal.
Anno
FATTO GUMMU is a great hero.
月
is he better than PIGGU GOD
Anno
Amajiki's Quirk is actually pretty cool. But I guess as a human bean he's limited to what he can stomach.
Anno
We haven't really gotten a lot of spotlight on Kirishima so far. He's pretty much only been a tagalong for Bakugo.
>>771979 oh yeah i think someone else mentioned this to me once too. i think it was this anyway i'll check it out
Anno
PK and Kirara both were reading it earlier in the year. I'd been aware of the series for a while since it gets talked about a good bit on /a/ but I took the chance to properly read it too.
Anno
Wow, underaged kids getting drunk. In a Shounen Jump manga!
It's probably fine since they didn't show her drinking it though.
Looks like it's just on fumes. That's probably not illegal?
Anno
Honestly I don't even know if those old-fashioned rules are still in place these days.
Anno
DOKKYUN
Anno
Oh Asumi and Ogata is a rare combination.
月
board game event at a maid cafe sounds really fun
Anno
Board games at a cafe in general sounds pretty fun. I guess if the meido are actually enthusiastic about the games it would be good too. But in reality I'd be worried about them faking enthusiasm because it's their job to be all excited.
月
i think anyone would be enthusiastic about getting paid to play board games and they know how to entertain guests so
Anno
Hah hah yeah. I thought I was remembering correctly. Ogata isn't good at the games she's so fond of.
Anno
Oh so it's a risk/reward game kind of like that treasure hunting game they were playing in Houkago.
