Chuubyou Gekihatsu Boy Episode 3-5 Honzuki no Gekokujou Houkago Saikoro Club Kono Oto Tomare! Episode 15-19 Mairimashita! Iruma-kun Episode 2-6 No Guns Life PSYCHO-PASS Episode 3-4 Val x Love Episode 4-6 Beastars
This guy with the glasses kind of reminds me of the MC from Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress. Though the MC of that only had a monocle if I remember correctly.
Anno
Hah hah he's a bit of a car nerd. These two really don't seem to be able to get along. Though they both seem alligned in the end.
These double-length features are more like short movies than episodes it feels like. There's some much that happens that I need to give more focus than usual to keep track of the broader plot. It's a neat experimental style.
月
ready
Anno
Hah hah wow. What a funny crazy old man.
Anno
What do you mean THOSE PEOPLE
Anno
Everyone's business cards in this world seem to look kind of the same. Talk about a total lack of creative independence.
Anno
Oof that's a bit trippy.
Anno
Oh no I can't believe he's fucking dead.
月
these parts are pretty cool
Anno
Forming a dependency on PEZ for stress relief probably isn't the best option lady.
>>770918 Yeah I'm hoping it continues to develop as the series progresses. Especially with the weirder paranatural stuff like the demon that seems to reside in that mental state he slips into, or how stuff like this most recent one blends myth into reality.
Anno
>And he save you too, huh CrunchyRoll please.
Anno
Hah hah hah these fucking AI. That's a great style of total incompetence.
Seems like immigration is a big theme this season. We've seen it pop up a few times.
Anno
It's a pretty enduring theme of human conflict. Barbarians, Mongol hordes, colonization, even less militaristic venues like contempt for gaijins; the difference between natives and the outside "others' just isn't something we're able to shake.
Plus it seems an assumed truth in this Japan that it's strict no-immigration policy is in part responsible for it being "The most peaceful country" as they said themselves in an earlier episode. So it follows that a trend to change that policy would be assumed to be a threat to peace and stability.
Anno
This lady is quite the striking figure.
Ah this is a rather unpleasant show of character too. Just the thought of that is really unsettling.
Anno
Hah hah so much for a show of toughness.
Anno
I really want to visit a roadside ramen stall like that some day. They seem real cozy.
Anno
She kind of reminds me of Heath Ledger's Joker sans make-up.
Oh it looks like someone on the staff remembered the plot
月
the whole tag section was really confusing
Anno
I thought it would be a way to show off some of the other girls' powers we hadn't seen yet but we only saw from the oldest sister and the one with the string. And then it kind of just stopped abruptly. Kind of threw me off.
>>770958 For like four minutes hah hah That fight occasion didn't take long to clean up.
Anno
I guess the weird girl in the storage shed was also a hint at some kind of power up the MC will eventually get to stand on even footing with the girls? Or was that just the spear sister who's been hiding her face so far. Was also kind of abrupt.
The two of them trying to learn how to be merchants is a cute plot arc.
Anno
I think even if it isn't formal custom to bow your head in apology, most people would understand it as a sign of deference and admission of fault.
Anno
She's acting real shrewd with him. Plus he seems to be a bit suspicious of her irregular knowledge.
月
so magic is just a natural part of this world but like everything else it's reserved for the nobles
Anno
I'm not sold on that being the truth of it. I'm still on my hunch that magic -- I guess mana generation now that we have direct reference to mana, takes a toll on the human body. The nobility can survive it fine because they're rich and can eat good food and live comfortable lives. But for peasants and lower classes, without those available resources, the toll mana requires just weakens them and eventually they die. Just as Main's kind of been foreshadowed.
Yeah I guess Lutz is more perceptive than he's let on. I thought he was just getting jealous that with her big fancy words and already knowing how to write well and do math without assistance he was stuck feeling inadequate. But it looks like he's putting together hints about her strange nature.
月
well i think the envy is integrated into that either he's woefully inadequate or she's suspicious
Anno
>>770973 Yeah, like I said I thought it was just the jealousy. My presumptions weren't sufficient.
I think though that they need to come to equal terms, even if Main can't ever reveal to him the nature of her weird knowledge. If they're going to be partners in business she can't be just running circles around him. At the rate they're going this business partnership won't be very good for them.
Anno
>It's not well known because most of these kids don't live to see their baptism Well I was a bit off with the theory of nobles having the resources to remain healthy, but it looks like I was on the right path.
She's valuable enough that they'll go to the effort of saving her.
Anno
Oh, well, I guess this is a smart resolution on Merchant-san's part. Giving Lutz the official responsibility of being Main's keeper helps alleiviate some of that inferiority.
月
oh things are really kicking up big plot progression
Anno
Yeah, I guess Lutz has made decision that she's not the Main he grew up with. I wonder what he's gonna be calling her though. I guess Japanese is easy enough that you can indicate who you're talking to without really having to say their name in a one-on-one conversation. But unlike Merchant-san a childhood friend like Lutz can't exactly go around calling her "ano ko"
