I hope you won't mind me saying, and let me stress that I'm still predominantly happy that things have worked out for you, but a small part of me waass looking a little forward to maybe getting anime, if at least occasionally, on the weekend again. There's just always so much stuff and having more time to clear through it does make the accountant part of me happy.
Hm, I'm not sure if Moon's around. If not we could maybe tap in Hero Academia instead of GranBlue. Though it probably doesn't really matter we only had Moon for episode two and I doubt it's a series Moon cares all that much about. This is probably just me overthinking things.
Oh but we should probably do something other than Honzuki if Moon's not around. Guess Hero Academia could fit there, or something like Beastars.
Also some very good news, Kaguya's had its second season officially confirmed. It's been rumoured for a week or so but they put out the annoucement this weekend.
Yeah. We'll probably get to the Athletics Festival in the second season, which has a really good character arc in it. Also we'll be seeing the fifth member of the student council, who's a pretty autistic little girl.
Anno
I really like this mangaka's eyes. They do some good good variety, especially using stuff like the brow and sunken eyes.
Sure you don't wanna watch a bit? Anime helps me when I'm sad
Anno
Oh, Wikipedia's reporting we'll be getting a second OP and ED for Enen. I'll miss the first OP but it'll be nice to get something that helps avoid staleness.
I guess Arthur has some Super Tensai Eyes or something that lets him see through these disguises. As expected of the character that seems extraordinarily gifted in all things but intelligence.
Anno
Oh this is really clever. I was wondering how disguising someone could be tied back to flame-based psychic powers but this is crazy enough to make sense.
Anno
Shinra on the other hand is actually pretty smart. Maybe it's a bit of judging books by covers but he kind of looks more like your typical fighty shounen MC. But he's got a good head on his shoulders.
The twintail girl reminds me just a little bit of Maka from soul eater.
Anno
These religious extremists are pretty extremist-y.
Anno
>>760638 I don't actually have that much experience with Soul Eater, hah hah. Only got maybe six or so episodes in when I was watching it waaaayy back when. Some times even when I was enjoying something I'd just get distracted and forget about it. Such is life.
Anno
Looks like Tamaki does get to do a bit even if she's not fighting much. She can be a bit of a combat nun, exorcising demons while being able to move with the combatants of the Eighth.
Anno
GUUDDO NAITO
Anno
The little details in this series are really aesthetically pleasing. Like the light bands on their pants or the glow of their eyes when they're using their powers.
Ah she's not actually a bitch. Oh but she is a celebrity. I thought it would just be another astronaut applicant like Senku's dad, just pretending to be bitchy celebrity.
Anno
I wonder if Senku's mom is already dead/divorced from his dad or if he's just gonna get pragmatic once everyone on Earth turns to stone.
Well, maybe. But even if she's not dead in the post-petrification world, unless his dad discovers a different way to live for three thousand years, he'll be dead by now himself.
And the way he answered her question of family sounds one way or another, Senku's mom is out of the picture.
Anno
He's kind of flirty regardless though, hah hah. Kind of charming.
I bet that his mom is something they will explore later He gets the white from his dad but that green in his hair is probably significant
Anno
Yeah, it's definitely a good plot thread to keep in the pocket. Plus his dad seems smarter than average, but not, like, supergenius smart. Maybe he couldn't keep up with his first wife's mental speed and she left him over that.
Anno
>Humans don't need to have fun to survive There's a lot of things we don't need to do to survive that are still worth doing!
I wonder how they will land with everyone on earth turned to stone
Anno
Well if these people on the ISS are the only people that survived the petrification then I guess the watchkids have to get their genes from somewhere.
>>760665 Yeah, I don't think the ISS is well-suited to a crashlanding on Earth. Maybe the craft Senku's dad and the other two came up on is still docked to the ISS and it's suited to re-entry. It would be risky still to crowd six people into it and do a re-entry mission without a mission control to guide them, but survival wouldn't be zero percent.
Anno
I guess Senku's dad is where he gets his impetuous nature from though.
okay granblue then! we'll boku no hero for honzuki
okay granblue okay lets start
Anno
Well I'd say Honzuki is what we should absolutely hold off on until Moon's around. We could still do GranBlue, it's probably fine.
I'm good.
Anno
Oh whoops I forgot to turn my torrents back on after I rebooted at the start of the anime thread hah hah. I don't need to restart from the top of the episode but I could use the time in like a minute or so.
Anno
Should probably make sure I've got Rifle too at this point. My guesswork of prioritizing Hero Academia was a good prediction though!
>>760673 oh sorry and I did not mean to select this image

Anno
Thanks! Wow I was further back than I thought hah hah. We're not at the point where things get good yet though.
Anno
I think this is a little bland but an accurate depiction of this story arc. Having to fight through waves of imperial soldiers while getting plot snippets.
Rosetta's been used in a really weird way in the GranBlue anime. If I remember correctly she joins the party after Io, on the Wind-element-themed island. Which is two islands before you get to Albion. But in the anime she's a drifter that kind of just pops in to give the party a morale boost.
I'm a bit disappointed they didn't let her join the party.
Anno
Yeah she's got a nice design and I'm always fond of there being more onee-sans around.
I bet we'll probably have the first major showdown between Orchis/Black Knight and the party as the season finale this season. Especially with how much they've been teasing her.
We should be back onto PLOT now that the seasonal brush-up episode is done and over.
Anno
Well if my memory of this part of the manga is correct things might be a little bit slow as the arc plot accelerates. Once things start rolling though this arc is great.
Also we get a lot of UA's Big Three this arc and they're pretty cool.
Anno
We had a primer on the young heroes last episode. Now time for our primer on the young villains!
Anno
This is a good encounter for Shiggy though. He's pretty awful at being a powerful leader and totally lacks the caution of All-For-One. Somone like Overhaul will teach him all the things he needs improvement in.
Overhaul and Shiggy are pretty good when juxtaposed against each other. They both have touch-based powers, in a fight like what almost happened there, whoever got first touch would have been the deciding factor.
Anno
Poor Bakugou. Failing that last practical exam they took at the end of the last series really set him back!
Anno
Mirio's got such a dweeby face. It looks almost silly on that huge body of his.
More than sound or lack of projectile, I feel like the biggest problem with beam rifles is that they don't have recoil. Like you could make a beam rifle that's weighted and design in -and designed in perfect resemblance to a real rifle model. But recoil seems like such an important part of the firing process that not having it seems like a huge lack.
I wonder if they'll start to do real sooting shooting too
Anno
I wonder if they'll ever get to do real sooting. I'd imagine Japan might have come compunctions when it comes to putting rifles in teenagers' hands for sport.
Anno

Anno
Oh yeah I guess softball baseball uses heavier balls than normal baseball. That probably messes with the standard throwing hand positions.
