Oh, it was an absolutely terrible weekend.
How about you?

I was really hoping that your absence meant things had turned for the better ;_;

Mine's been okay.
I've been having a lot of excessive stressors that have been making it a bit hard to function which kind of have been snowballing too.
But I had a chance to go out and enjoy myself a bit last night and see some friends.
Though ultimately the things worrying me are still hanging over my head.
This is my reading week so hopefully I can be on top of everything before it ends.

Weekends are supposed to be the recovery days of the week, it really sucks when they take as much if not more out of you than the week days.

For a moment there I was like "You and Moon..?"
But yeah I got it now.
I hadn't even added it to the list because I remember it was kind of losing the luster it had originally.
Or at least that's how I felt you and Ika were taking it.
There's just so much to watch these days that some times I feel I need to curate the list a bit.

If it's something you're still interested in I'll keep an eye on it, but I'll probably not list it until you let me know you want to watch it with us.
I think Moon would probably enjoy the funky cooking techniques they go into in the show.

Also after the couple weeks of hiatus Enen is back on, so we can do that too.

We will watch it for sure.

It was kind of a weird episode to do a hiatus on.
Eleven isn't really a full season.
This show is running two-cour so if they were to do a season break you'd imagine it would be at twelve or thirteen.

Taiko drums are a lot of fun.
The Japanese-style pub I've been going to a lot lately has one on the floor that they start drumming at whenever their chef on the stove does one of their fiery prep dishes.

It's funny seeing all the pyrokinesis powers be used for mundane utilities like this.

The OSt -OST is really kicking in too.
This is a great battle track.

Twintail girl is consistently useless

Maybe she'll eventually be something more than walking fanservice.

Oh yeah Obi is a mundane badass.
Fights alongside all these pyrokinetics despite having no powers of his own.

So his power is muscle
and armor

And extinguishers!
Not only the grenades. he also just pitched an actual extinguisher straight at the seventh's captain.

Now it's turned into a detective fiction.

I wonder what lets those white-cloaked villains disguise themselves like Obi and the lieutenant.
Those aren't exactly powers you'd expect from a pyrokinetic.

Sounds like the seventh'll have their own stake in this bigger problem of artificially-created Infenals then.
They were talking in that flashback about there being an absurd amount of them that night.
I bet it was whoever's been setting up all these schemes behind the scenes making them all.

This seems like another one of those series where it feels like the bad guys weren't entertaining enough so it turned into intrigue between factions

Well I tend to enjoy intrigue and faction against faction.
Plus if it was just fighting Infernal week after week I think it would get pretty dry fast.
I wouldn't be surprised either, considering all the worldbuilding they've been giving us in the series, if the factions and secret organizations were already a part of the author's vision in the first place

Oh okay here we are back with our main crew.

These two goofs are pretty silly.
They're kind of like those comedic duos that playwrights like Shakespeare would put into interlude scenes to make jokes for the less "civilized" theatregoers.

It was starting to feel a bit like a recap episode but I went and checked the chatter on the episode and it seems like it's fresh content.

Seems like they're going to get into some shit this episode.

Looks like at the moment the real shit they've got to deal with is the weather, hah hah.
A lot of Viking expeditions probably ended up like this, only freezing to death in the conditions.

There's a lot of focus in these scenes of this family of how weathered and roughed their hands are.

Last episode wrapped up the "Win the fighting tournament" bit.
Now I guess it's time for them to get the alcohol they need to save Kohaku's sister

Though maybe Senku can outsmart him.
A final with Senku and Chrome'll undoubtably be given to Chrome.

There's a lot of pretty intensive chemistry they've got ahead of themselves.

It's been a while since this has last been on the air.
I wonder how much of the episode will be them catching people up to speed.

This current arc is the last one I was following regularly.
I didn't even read it to finale either.
So after a bit I'll be as unfamiliar with what's going on as I presume you are.

Though I've been peeking in on threads on occasion.

Looks like they're doing a bit of an info brush-up if not really a recap.

I'm having a hard time figuring if this guy is just a seedy reporter or a villain in disguise.

It's what I expected, but at least somewhat new

Fun fact, when talking about the invisible girl's quirk, the mangaka commented on it by saying something along the lines of "Her Quirk makes her invisible? That's not entirely correct".
So people are suspicious a bit as to what that means.
Especially considering there's likely a villain mole in Class A.

It must be difficult for All Might to go anywhere now that people know what -know who he is even as a skeleton.

This arc has some really good high moments to it.
There's a lot of characters that'll take the limelight throughout it.

If you're still wondering on what to tap in instead of BokuBen, Mairimashita! is probably a light-hearted harem romcom with supernatural elements.
I saw some people comparing it to Rosario+Vampire if that's a series you're familiar with.
Chuubyou was that show with the girl and all the chuuni boys, that was also pretty light.

Rifle is Beautiful is cute girls doing airsoft so that might be a comfy contender.

And Val x Love was that show with all the Valkyrie girls and the gentle giant MC.
I don't know how much of it is action and how much is harem antics but it might be easygoing too.

At some point it feels like authors have just gone "what haven't cute girls done yet" and just go with that.

I think it's when they realize they can turn their niche hobby and their drawing skills into a cute-girl manga.
Most of these hobbyist cute girl manga tend to be pretty well-versed on the area of expertise; I'd assume it's because the author knows the hobby already.
