Thursdays are Azur Lane nights.
I'd like to give Beastars a try. It might feel a bit weird but I've read some of the manga and it's kind of a neat series.

I was thinking this killing blow had all the cute girls on the side of good but kind of weird to leave your protagonist out of it.

Oh he's beginning to transcend to Level 6.
I was kind of expecting that we'd get a tease of it in this adaptation.
But yeah, nothing more than a tease.

I wonder if he'll be fixed in the next season of this, if there is one.

That would be a bit of a time leap.
These spin-off series seem to keep an even chronological pace.
So we'd probably still be only like around the middle of season two of Index at best I'd guess.

Hah hah he's reading Heavy Object again (It's also written by the author of Index).
That's something I'd enjoy another season of.

Aw that's a bit of a sad downside to the talisman pseudo-souls.
It's good of her to let this girl's body have a proper burial.
But losing the relationship she's been building with the zombie is a little sad.

The studio animating this is the same one that did Houseki no Kuni.
I'm normally pretty skeptical of 3D CGI shows but they did such a good job with it that I want to see the other stuff they do.

this one is a bit weird

Yeah, it is.
Once you get over the anthropomorphism the story is pretty well-written though.
They handle this absolutely inhuman problem in a very human way.

Oh gosh look at that STAG.

This bunny's got a bit of spunk.
I guess you get a hard shell when people are bullying you all the time.

They have some good voice actors in this.

Yeah, the voices are really well done.
The body language is pretty good too.
All the little shrugs and way they hold their heads.
That's something that's a bit easier to recreate with 3D models than traditional animation.

Guess he's the theatre club's diva.

Water would be a real problem if you've got some metal parts like in a gun.

Oh yeah and smokes get wrecked fast in wet conditions like this.

They've shown us three of the four so far, so yeah, gotta round out the full listnig.

This is kind of a funny split between the horrors of how they got trounced and the comedy of the rescue cew.

The iron blood people don't seem to value their allies much in the game.

The iron blood rigging is all kinda weird and fish like.

It kind of feels like Prinz Eugen and Akagi are both kind of trying to get the other to lose face.
All this taunting and faux civility.

Z23 is the last from the starter group.
Splitting them up is an interesting decision.

I guess they're sort of using the starter girls from each faction as sort of main characters?

They get used in the game a lot too.

Ham Man

Helena is really good too.

I guess they're going to have a fight.
Akagi/Kaga will be tough to beat.

Oh it's Zuikaku and Shoukaku.
They may not take their job seriously.

Shoukaku hates Akagi and Kaga.

Arizona's only claim to fame is exploding.

There are worse fates in life.

It seems like hte anime version of Zuikaku is really eager to prove herself.

Is she more laidback in the game?

She isn't that great on her own but she has a great buff to all British ships.

She seems like the kind of ship you'd like even if she wasn't all that great mechanically because of the aesthetic qualities.

So it's a game pretty much entirely based on bluffing.
Sounds kind of fun.

Though I guess you can keep track of the cards that've been flipped and put into hands.
And look at your own hand and evaluate the odds of it being a particular pest.

Having a good bluff face is always useful though.
