I like the characters and world. The quality of the animation can be kind of whatever at times but it's not nearly as bad as I see people making it out to be.
they've been kind of sexualizing her the past couple episodes which is weird though but it's anime i guess

The original novel illustrations are done by a somewhat well-known artist with tendencies that way too. Not that something like that really excuses it but it does give it some context.

the reverse isekai concept is kind of fun too it isn't really played out to its fullest as an episodic thing though

There's seeds of an overarching plot here-

-here but the adaptation is moving too slowly to get to them. A lot of the episodes have been somewhat non-sequitor. I think it's probably more comfortable in a written format where you can compile these one-shot stories into a volume, or have them as extras in novels that the larger portion of is the stories that connect to the overarching plot.
This is obviously a world that has become pretty comfortable with the reverse isekai, a lot of the luster that could be used to write a broad plot has faded.
the written medium would let you explore the character dynamics a lot more in depth, which is IMO the sole thing this show relies on
i say that, and not the action/novelty because the issue there is that it ultimately would be more interesting to watch tilarna fighting for justice in her own world with her methods than in this world
which is a bit of a crummy setup so they got the character stuff
the character plots, like her learning to drive or that friend she made or busting up his car, making friends with the cat
thos // those are all a lot more memorable and engaging than the story plots that are going on i dont even remember most of the detective work that happened because it tends to follow this pattern: tilarna almost does something exciting, but then stops because we're not in her world, then boring detective work carries out the resolution
which is solely a setting for the character plots to develop

On the contrary I'd rather they leaned harder into the detective fiction side of it being a police procedural. I really like plots that set up a mystery and resolve it. Ideally in a fair mystery challenge but I can enjoy detective fiction too. But to be fair in not leaning hard enough the detective fiction side of it tends to be pretty shallow. They're investigative detectives in a city at the junction of two worlds! There's bound to be a lot of strange and fascinating things that need their attention.
She's also the strongest fighter in Ishtar's familia. But it looks like she's going to be taken out by this dude from Freya's.

Hermes was ranting some weird shit in that previous scene. I guess it's related to the plot at large in this series. We haven't seen a lot of the Greccian gods in this series yet after all. Just Hestia and Apollo. I mean I guess Hermes is being treated as a divine but he teeeechnically isn't a god, just a divine in the pantheon.

Yeah. I visited a shrine near Akihabara that's mildly famous for cameo-ing in Love Live but even that was on like January 3rd. We tried going on the first or second but whichever day we first tried it was actually packed beyond belief. It was even still pretty busy when we went!
But going to one in the early hours past midnight on New Year's would be pretty cozy I bet.
