It would be beneficial all around if Sawamura and Furuya got into comfortable batteries with the first-years anyway. They've got two more years with them, but only one more with their captain.
It's neat to get monologues on the mental decisions in the heads of the players. These insights into things I've never really taken an intense analysis to are really useful to me.

Looks like it might be Sawamura's chance to star soon. Furuya's pitching is really unstable and maybe Sawamura's isn't as excellent as his when Furuya is at his best, but it seems more consistent.

If the plane crashed in a swamp there's a decent chance the guy's lost in the bog. I mean convenience of plot indicates he's probably alive but realistically, an unconscious body would probably disappear fast into the swamp.
