I think that's mostly because the MCs haven't grown into their powers yet. Especially the male lead, it seems like he needs to go on a journey quest to make pacts with all the spirits.

Well it wouldn't be impossible but this doesn't really feel like a series that complex. Most of these isekai novels are kind of power trip for both the writers and readers so to have your leads not actually be OP would be a let down.
