Okaa-san will probably be comfy-ish.
It's a pretty cutesy isekai.
Also has a great character designer behind the characters.

i was trying to figure out what show rika was talking about

The series' Japanese title roughly translates into "Do You Love Your Mom And Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks?"
Which is a really weird title but it's about a guy and his mom that get isekai'd into a game-like world.
Only the MC is a total wimp and his mom gets all the awesome skills and power that an isekai protagonist normally gets.

The goofier OST tracks for this anime are pretty good.
They're also kind of an un Kajiura Yuuki sound.

it started off really bleak but turned real exciting in the first episode

Yeah, hearing it a second time with that in mind had me see where you got the idea it might be a Lupin-esque show.

Especially when it's blended with a bit of fantasy.
There seems to have been a decent bit of worldbuilding put into this series too.
Thought put into the way the cultures would have collided with each other and evolved.
Things like that make the fantasy nerd in me excited.

Well ZAQ's not part of the anime staff but the OST is composed by Iwasaki Taku, who did the music for Gurren Lagann, among some other shows.

It got pretty intense for a bit there.

I believe this is following the tradition on inane isekai.

It's got some aspects that are a little unique.
And it's also got character designs by Pochi-Goya, who does some really cute girls.
