okay are any of these shows like really good

Dororo is quite good.
Mob Psycho is also quite good, but it's a second season this season.

And we're well into the middle of the season so even with Dororo you'd be dropping into it already developing.
It and Mob Psycho are both excellent shows though, yeah.

If you want something a weird fiction bent you might like Boogiepop.
The first couple episodes are slow but it really kicks off after that.

mob psycho is also stellar but it is less unique it just does common themes excellently

The motorbike thing is the animation studio's little shtick.
Kind of like Ghibli's blue screen with the Totoro that's at the start of all their movies.

The original Boogiepop novels are apparently legendary in Japan.
Like the kind of cultural phenomenon that kicked off the whole light novel genre over there.

i can believe it
i watched it after checking the first episode of this season and it's damn good
the writing was probably unique at the time i guess

Though thinking about it, getting scent back could make for fights being a LOT more unpleasant.
I can't imagine most of these ayakashi would smell particularly nice, especially once you start cutting them up a bit.
That kind of sensory attack could be a pretty nasty addition to deal with.
