this season was a lot more exciting than the first one

The plot started rolling.
And instead of just having it roll and climax in a matter of episodes like in the first season, there was a bit of actual pacing this season.

After reading this bit in the VN you linked before, I think they adapted the choreographing pretty well.
It just happened a lot faster because describing a lot of events in text naturally lengthens the scene.

It looks like they got tired of adapting this series.
The pacing up 'till now felt like we were barely even halfway there, but all of a sudden we're almost at the last boss.

they change a lot in the anime
gave lots of screentime to rose and alisha (the latter probably because of the outrage)

Yeah, I've enjoyed the backstory for them, more so if it wasn't in the game.
But it just kind of feels like over the past couple episodes we've fast-forwarded from the second arc to the finale.

I think Berseria would be fun to watch

I just hope for the next Tales game they go back to having less ridiculous outfits.
Even this game had some kind of silly clothes, and Berseria went all-out stupid in some ways.

Sure there's the extra outfits for the characters, but I'm kind of a stickler for rationality and don't like using stupid clothes in battle.
