Knee issues are hard to gauge the intensity of from the outside.
They can feel pretty bad but be minor in the end, like hers was.
It's hard to tell what the actual problem is just from it hurting.

What she SHOULD have done was go get an X-ray of it much earlier once it started hurting consistently but Nagisa's a dumb kid who loves badminton too much.

Apparently there's some things the anime references and makes in-jokes about that originate from the stage play.

i feel like this show started halfway through

I'm not familiar with the manga it adapts from but there wasn't an OVA prologue or anything.
I think it's just a "realistic" story.
In real life people don't have beginnings to start halfway after.

Yeah the colours in this show are really nice.
And the girls are pretty simple-cute.

The eyes are super good too.
They remind me of that one gay girl assassin show I never watched.
Maybe the mangaka for this did the character designs or original manga for that too.
