I kind of wish they'd done more with the whole thing about being a doctor being integral to his personality.
Like, in a movie about the soul and a metaphysical identity, something that deeply rooted in his identity is important.

Well that was interesting.
It had a pretty chinese martial arts feel to it, and the magic felt like the Qi sort of powers of martial artist

I thought that was pretty good but I feel like it was too short.
The story was so big and they smushed it down so much to make it fit.

What did everyone think?

That was a fun movie.
The visuals were a fucking work of beauty.

I think the plot was fine, and well-paced.
It's just the scope of the plot was a bit large for a two-hour movie.
So there was a bit of a struggle to acclimatize with all the characters.
Like, it was easy to get into Strange's mind, but he was the main character.
But the whole movie through, the black accompanying him felt like a stranger.
Even though by the end of the movie, he was evidently an important detail in the grand scheme.

I think the fight choreography was marvelous, and there was some really nice cinematic moments in the film.
But I don't think it was a particularly amazing movie cinematography-wise.
Unless we can consider the artful special effects as cinematography in which I'm talking out of my arse.
What I mean is less fancy terms is that the camera work wasn't this amazing thing.

There were way too many shorts, making the fights generally feel jumpy and erratic
i don't like that tactic personally
it's added to make it feel more actiony, but at the same time it takes any feeling out of the action

I felt like the camerawork were yeah like moon is saying
It made some scenes feel disjointed.
It was hard to follow them even though the fights were really cool.

I am not too fond of action movies like this since they have such high pace.
