Beatless Comic Girls Full Metal Panic Gegege no Kitarou Hinamatsuri Mahou Shoujo Ore Major 2nd --Episode 1-2 Nil Admirari no Tenbin Rokuhoudou --Episode 1-2 Steins;Gate Uma Musume --Episode 2-4
Names are so hard this season. I forget what half of them are because nothing this season really has distinctive names.
Is Hina a jan show/
Anno
Yeah it definitely is.
Anno
Stuff that's easy to watch without Jan is Beatless, Steins;Gate, and anything that hasn't been started yet. He probably wouldn't care if we watched an episode of FMP or... Well honestly he probably wouldn't care if we went an episode without him on anything except Hinamatsuri.
Yeah, it was like a school series with military themes. The main series did take the military themes seriously, but there was no great sense of seriousness or danger from them most times. This season has started out as dire as the seasons before it were at their climaxes.
>>476212 And Fumoffu was completely tongue in cheek about everything. Considering that Fumoffu was the last FMP anime that I watched, it's a big tonal shift.
>>476219 So basibally there are good covert military guys and bad covert military guys. The progatonist works for the good military guys, and he is a badass who was a legendary child soldier and he's killed a lot of people. The silver haired girl you see now and then is the leader of the good guys. Her father was some legendary general. Her brother leads the bad military guys.
And yeah, the silver haired girl is girl #2.
The bluegreen haired girl is girl #1. THere's also something special about her that the bad guys want, but it has never been made exactly clear to the audience.
She's also occasionally had problems with violence like this, she's never liked violence. The current tone of the series of quite a bit more serious than it normally has been.
Anno
She's also the forever second place in the romance game for the MC.
Anno
>>476229 She's never liked violence despite being an aggressive tsundere.
Yeah. All the killing people stuff makes her really uncomfortable.
It is probably the biggest source of friction between her and protagonist-kun because protagonist-kun is like Metal Gear's Raiden levels of having killed people.
Yeah this is tonally a lot more severe than a lot of the series has been. I wonder if they're going to keep with this tone the whole season or if they are going to de-escalate it. It seems like something is going to have to change with Chidori if it continues to be serious, I don't want to see her being sad and whiny the whole season.
Anno
I think this'll be the final season? Not certain about it but I believe this project is about finishing adapting the novels. So we might get the serious tone the whole way through because we're at the climax.
Could be, that may explain things. I have a vague memory of shit being pretty serious when the last real season left off, but a lot of that data was overwritten by watching fumoffu after.
steins gate okay lets start
Anno
One kind of depressing thing about this series involving PTSD Okabe is there won't be any of the chuuni antics. I might end up missing the whole el psy congroo stuff.
The depressing thing is, no matter what, this Okabe is gonna end up in a BAD END. He needs to in order for the main timeline Okabe to get what he needs to save Kurisu.
But maybe despite the BAD END he can find happiness.
What is Okabe's major anyway? He was just a smart NEET before, wasn't he? Now he plays tennis.
Anno
Nah he was a university student even back in the original game/anime. I think it was something Physics-based? Some kind of science major at least.
Anno
Yeah in the first-
Ah hah hah hah.
Oh no it made his tongue slip. This is pretty good.
Anno
Anyway in the first story Kurisu shot down his time machine hard. Now the KurisAI seems to think they're possible. Though the KurisAI is Kurisu's memories from a month or so before she first came to Japan, so it's curious to know where the change instigates from. Is it a previous thought of her human memories or did the AI come to that conclusion itself?
He had a time machine in this world line too, didn't he?
Anno
There was the bicycle girl's time machine that she took from the future to get to this time period. I think that's still here. Probably has to be if Suzu is still around.
There's also the thing he has that lets him send his consciousness back in time. Maybe he trashed that when he gave up in this timeline.
He has a depression app on his phone now. sasuga okabe
Anno
The KurisAI is a 3D model of her instead of being animated normally. That's a nice detail I think. After all it would have to be a 3D model if the technology to do what they've done was possible.
It's kind of wild how all these late 00s-early 10s shows are getting sequels or stuff lately. Makes me feel like I've slipped backwards like eight years.
Oh, so Lacia was actually the last completed. The show thus far has led us to believe that Methode was the ultimate robot, but it may actually be Lacia that is the ultimate robot.
Anno
Yeah that's a bit of language trickery involved. Lacia so far has been called onee-sama by the other Lacia-class robots, as she's the first in the line. But if she was the last to be finished then she might have hardware and perfections that the others don't,
hmm if jan isn't around we should do comic girls instead
Yeha I think that's a possibility
oh look there he is okay watakoi we're all orange let's start!
Anno
Koi wa muzukashii.
I feel he might've tapped out after giving us the update.
Anno
ol'
Anno
okay i'm here and ready with wotakoi >>476411 ye of little faith
Anno
>>476409 my bad i was trying to reply to >>476406 as well and say i was going to get changed looks like my mobile net dropped as i stepped through my front door
Anno
That is a super glitzy...bow? I think he's using a bow there. It's super glitzy though.
Oh yeah they're dating now. I have high expectations for this show.
Anno
>>476439 same i'm probably going to get the japanese edition >play MH at home >play MH on the way to work >play MH at work on break >get off work go to the bar and play MH living the dream
Anno
>>476440 It's a solid manga. They've padded out the anime it seems, with some more SoL-y stuff that helps set the characters a bit. Like that bit before the OP now wasn't in the manga. It'll probably deflate the humour of the show a bit since they're not riding punchline to punchline, but that'll probably help with the comfiness too.
Anno
the hand dancing part of the op is so cute
Anno
Yeah it's totes adorbs. I want to do hand dancing with a cute girl.
Anno
Sugita's character in this show is great. He's both the responsible sempai and the least otaku-y of the main cast. So he's a bit of a tsukkomi to the rest of the cast.
Yeah I said she was an more tsundere otaku Chiyo. She's only vaguely similar in terms of personality and appearance but they're somewhat similar somehow.
