>>461591 i think systemically it's a little more subtle than that acquisition of details via direct inquiry is a pretty obscure flag a person who wants a community to identify with and be a part of usually connects on the bases of similarity, and knowledge of their compatriots unfolds from organic interaction to jump in and say "hi i'm new tell me what you do and can i have pics" is pretty indicative of untowardness not that it's bad, but there's little means of communal integration for someone who has specific intentions in mind when they arrive i did like them though, so it's kind of a shame

Maria
A lot of newfriends seem to leave pretty quick
Anno
there's a culture clash generally between liveboards like /moe/ and the type of imageboard culture that goes scouting for new communities
Yuu
4chan has changed and is full of thirsty (gay) sadboys lately too and those people just don't mesh anywhere. Not making any implications about our new friend though.
Anno
/moe/ also has a long , hm, that's not the adjective I want. Entrenched social connections, from being a buncn -bunch of people who have just talked to eachother on a daily basis for years and years. And while enough of us are open to new people, it isn't the easiest for the new people to move around those social connections and still be comfortable. Which is what produces that outside world opinion of /moe/ being kind of circlejerky.
Anno
>>461605 are you implicating about gay sadboys though??
but really, im not talking about 4chan it's more the board-roamers the kind of people that drift tend to do so because they're constantly dissatisfied we saw it with foolz and others people drift and try and try again until they find a place to fit in, and they get a routine of what works and doesn't based on what they're expecting/needing from their community and a lot of imageboards, being populated by BRs, just don't have the same culture a lot of them don't expect a culture of people who know each other for the upper-end of a decade, or people who are adults, or career professionals or some are those things but are looking for a place where they can still pretend they're a teenager and aren't quite adapted to interacting as adults on an imageboard and tbh, it took a long time for a lot of us to acclimate to that standard as we procedurally developed too -- including you, yuu, and me, and many of us
bang in love
i don't mind the new poster i think they're okay

we're basically like a long-running skype or discord but with a much nicer format we're a bunch of internet friends who have been talking to eachother for like 7 years
Anno
It's not but we're still on those stupid fucking lists that circulate somewhere that people keep reading.
Yuu
/moe/ was like that when I came here too, and I was fascinated by the stuff that happened before me.
bang in love
>>461615 I mean that's not the worst thing ever though I don't mind when new people show up Even when they're bad news, they usually never stay for more than a few months anyways In the long run we've gained people like Maria in the past couple years who are nice to have around and some annos that i don't know how to call

>>461617 the deep lore >>461619 I'd say I'm new on Tano considering the history I missed. Entrenched but new. I get the difference in culture between a liveboard and somewhere like 4chan but I'm still new
>>461623 It helps that I knew Kirara from posting on tano. And I was only on Tano because I knew Rin from /tea/
Anno
>>461621 maria is not new to the cultural flavor that /moe/ offers new-ish to /moe/ (still like two+ years tbh) but is not new to the format and style maria had a smooth transition to /moe/, which is different to what a lot of people have, which makes it different >>461628 the integration from tano to moe is smoother than what imats had in transition to moe
bang in love
it was only like two years ago i stopped considering imats new
bang in love
>>461623 i'm only talking about /moe/ everything else is literally garbage
bang in love
in general, alternative boards tend to be gathering grounds for lolicons and radicals people i don't like

Anno
you're contradictory in being simultaneously specific and general >i consider maria this >in general this maria isn't general
Anno
>>461618 I'm not against the principle of new people but I also definitely form very fast first opinions of people. But being only those lists means when people see the Doushio URL on them, they assume it's another 4chan culture site like anything else on them. Which as you mentioned kind of, isn't what Doushio really is anymore.
Anno
>>461634 tbh i consider you newer than maria in regards to how much you're willing to appropriate with the culture compared to maria
bang in love
i'm not sure what culture you're trying to push here i go to /moe/ and /moe/ is /moe/
Anno
i think maria has probably integrated with /moe/ culture in the last two years more than you have by bitching about stuff in the last seven years like you dont really do anything i dont mean that in a bad way
bang in love
I think you're just being spiteful and/or assigning your own definition of what you want /moe/ to be
Anno
no im not being spiteful i like you bang, it's me moon, i love chillin with you in mumu and shit i just hit my head on a piece of wood like ten minutes ago though and i might have a concussion though im not sure but i'm just saying what i'm saying i mean it in no bad way, but most of what you do on /moe/ isn't really interacting with the board culture it's not bad in any way but you're just kind of, you know, blogging and shit

and im the same in that regard too

bang in love
i mean i've done it and it's not like it's super difficult on its own but then you have to take into account that every mistaken move hurts like twisting a broken ankle does and also because of the way my shower is set up it takes some considerable effort to wash my ass like this
