I don't know if those are related, but I also have a bit of fear related to lakes and oceans because I don't like not being able to see through the water. Swimming in pools is okay I guess, I'm not sure if those bad experiences in water make me hate swimming. I just do.

And while enough of us are open to new people, it isn't the easiest for the new people to move around those social connections and still be comfortable. Which is what produces that outside world opinion of /moe/ being kind of circlejerky.

but really, im not talking about 4chan it's more the board-roamers the kind of people that drift tend to do so because they're constantly dissatisfied we saw it with foolz and others people drift and try and try again until they find a place to fit in, and they get a routine of what works and doesn't based on what they're expecting/needing from their community and a lot of imageboards, being populated by BRs, just don't have the same culture a lot of them don't expect a culture of people who know each other for the upper-end of a decade, or people who are adults, or career professionals or some are those things but are looking for a place where they can still pretend they're a teenager and aren't quite adapted to interacting as adults on an imageboard and tbh, it took a long time for a lot of us to acclimate to that standard as we procedurally developed too -- including you, yuu, and me, and many of us
