It's never explained why she's kind of superhuman.
She's a good soldier because she's a litty autsy and pretty much worshiped Gilbert.

I guess maybe her automail arms explain why she can take down a soldier with a single punch.

I did not expect this to become a wartime story.

It has only been at most a few years since the war Violet fought in ended.
Even with "official" endings like that, it's pretty rare for all fighting to just up and stop.

This is what happens when you try to save your friends from snipers.

This one's just fucking depressing.
He wasn't even doing anything noble he was just moving through the woods with his squad and they all got slaughtered.

I've seen the hardware before but I don't really know how it works.

I can remember being able to spill out pages of writing at the drop of a pin.
Nowadays it feels a lot harder to write something.
Part of it sure is probably a higher standard for the quality of what I write -- I don't pretend like the writing from back then was particularly good.
But it was exhilarating to write so much.

He is really good with these metaphors and symbolisms though.
