It kind of makes you wonder if there are two versions of him.
He got weird after Jeanne died and became the version we see in F/Z.
But he was still fairly knightly in this one, if not a little bit of a weirdo.

I think he was only knightly in this one because he met Jeanne again.
I think within the Fate canon he became the monster he is as Zero Caster because of losing Jeanne and being warped by the guilt.
So meeting her as Servants is a sort of salvation.

Well, it was good that he got a chance to be somewhat normal.
