I remember that things were weird last time to the point of me thinking it was a dream.
A two-part dream episode would be weird though.

Especially with them revealing the school chairman -- a character she's never interacted with before.

Is this supposed to be a self-aware ironic satire of dumb anime or did they just say "fuck it let's do the most absurd thing we can to keep people enthralled"?

I mean it was pretty normal up until the idol scene that happened to be the ED.
That's when it started to get really weird.
I feel like they were playing it straight until recently.

I guess some of the scenes in the first episode with Arisu were kinda weird but they weren't nearly as weird as what's happened recently.

And like why was high-jump-chan randomly hijacked into this week's OP.
SHE DIDN'T EVEN SHOW UP IN THE ACTUAL EPISODE.
