I mean I expected something like this t ohappen. But I expected it to be like an unfortunate accident. Why would the police just randomly shoot civilians?
Anno
Yeah I thought it was going to be some kind of erroneous action. Instead they just shot up the two ladies for kicks or something.

>>350691 i mostly just care about imouto ireba tomorrow i might be at a concert and this sunday i'll actually have to watch imouto on my own as i'm going to a concert then thanks to the goodwill of my friend,s i can't pass up a show when they're paying and i'm broke
Anno
>>350695 i tihnk they might in just be really aggressive in a real situation like a punch to the grandma
bang
>>350695 They wouldn't especially in a country like Japan While the scenario is already rather unrealistic considering there's two cyber-gods It's extremely unrealistic for the SAT or for a police force in a nation as peaceful as japan to even use guns at all
Anno
>A large meteorite is approaching Earth Well that came out of left field.
>>350703 I read in a thread that they had been dropping subtle hints about it throughout the series with background conversations and overhearing it on TV and stuff.
Anno
I wonder if this guy's dad is supposed to be the author's self-insert.
bang
Jesus what a bitch
Anno
So she wants to be a mangaka too.
Come to think about it, you'd imagine mangaka would be less than enthusiastic to paint their job in such a favourable light. Being a mangaka is suffering.
Yeah, she's good at coming up with stuff like that.
Anno
And she knows her dad is a robot now. Must mess with someone with such an imaginative mind to see something like that and never have it have come to mind before.
Anno
Wow that was a clever scene cut there.
Anno
There's an actual cinematography term for that but I can't remember what it's called.
wait a sec those two didn't die. I guess he fixed them with robot magic, that makes sense. but why is he going max edge if they didn't even die?
Anno
Maybe he wants to make sure the police don't almost kill them ever again. Or maybe he's just a lunatic piece of shit with the sensibilities of a child.
Well I guess it's good they didn't die since they're innocents. But the fact that the police randomly shot them in the first place is kind of bad writing.

I get that they probably don't really know what to do. But watching him get flung several metres by a direct headshot from a sniper, only to open his eyes, probably means shooting him with guns isn't a reliable solution to the situation. But in the end they probably don't really understand what's happening and how to deal with an indestructible combat robot.
Anno
I wonder if the robot bodies break down the water they drink to make hydrogen for fuel or something.
bang
jesus
bang
the yeah i don't know man
i am enjoying the show but there's a lot of writing choices that are....
Anno
I don't think the mangaka is a particularly good writer. From what I recall Gantz also had a interesting starting premise that got all messed up because of stupid plot add-ons and dumb shit like that. He seems to have pretty good concepts with potential to be really good and then just screws it all up once the story starts rolling.
well We had an episode that was normal and happy so we all knew max edge was going
er max edge was coming
okay orange for just because
okay let's start

One thing I really like about this show is how natural that friend group formed. Like, three of them knew each other from younger years but they didn't seem particularly sociable. Well one of them had transferred away which probably didn't help. And then you get the girl one of them wants to rail and her friend. Loose social acquaintances that end up snowballing together because that's what people do.
>>350808 It doesn't really leave much up in the air about what your feelings are, eh. But I guess there's also the assumption of wanting to date that comes with asking someone out. And confessions in romance series always have that additional component.

Lately I've become aware of just how soft-spoken I am. Or I guess more accurately how impossible it is to get my voice to rise in volume.
The packing facility I work at has a lot of machinery that fills the air with way too much noise. When I'm trying to talk with people, most times I have to push my voice really hard and still usually have to repeat myself once or twice. And once I leave after work my voice feels like it's been strained a bit too much.
