Apparently the Prism Ilya movie has subs out now.
It's a sort of prequel that actually has almost or very little Ilya in it and pretty much revolves around an alt-universe Shirou that goes through a lot of suffering.

Shirou didn't have a crest. I guess he had a pretty limited number of magic circuits too.
But he had extreme sword autism.

It was the crest they transferred, not the circuits.

She actually keeps in line with Arturia's king philosophy, huh.
Arturia was also determined to not mix too closely with the feelings of the people.

Where as Astolfo agrees more with Iskandar's philosophy.

Or was it that Shirou had an extreme number of (unused) circuits because he made a new one every time he used magic.
I can't remember.
I do remember that he did things wrong and opened a new circuit or something every time because he was half-trained.

I never got around to reading the VN so I'm a bit loose on the details like that.

I think Shirou may have had a lot of circuits but low magic power.
Anyway, he never got a crest but never really needed it because of sword autism.

Astolfo is pretty chaotic.
He really likes messing around with Jeanne.

It also seems like a culture fair arc which are always fun.

She's been hanging around being bitter for awhile so I guess this is where they finally deal with her.

Unmei has for the longest time irrevocably tied to Mawaru Penguindrum for me.
I can't hear the word without thinking of that series.

Kugamiya Rie hasn't really been playing a lot of bitchy tsundere characters lately.
It's a little refreshing to have her voicing someone so bitchy again.

It's kind of funny how all these teams with special features are rife with strife and it's the bitchy girls that can't seem to get along that actually work perfectly together.
Reminds me a bit of Tatara and Chinatsu from Ballroom.

Oh no incomign CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

It must be pretty messed up though, having somoene near-identical to you for that man years of your life.
My younger brother and I were born pretty close to each other, so I think my parents did a lot of twins-y stuff for us. Bought identical clothes, matching toys, all that jazz.
Looking back on that time it's a little annoying.

The S&M pairing are still as weird as ever.

I'm all for yuri but these two are utterly INTOXICATING.

Seeing them go tumbling down is going to be funny though.

The short hair does make the onee-san seem a little more onee-san-y.
And twintails are a universal kiddie sort of thing.

So far their character arc has been the least dramatic of the duos.
Though so far each duo has broken up or threatened to break up at the end of the first episode of their arc so I guess we're about to see the breaking point for these two.

This show is weird

I agree with what Rika said a few weeks back, it's the sort of thing only an otaku could come up with.

I find it refreshingly strange though.

Speaking of Rika I guess she died or had a phonecall mid-episode or something.
