>>218098 Kirara got a bit of constructive criticism on his past academic year and was a bit upset about it. So his classmates were offering a bunch of nice things about them and one said the new term for being chill and cool should be #mattitude. I think it was a bit of an oversight of his to put that one with the rest of him but Blue, myself, and a few others have found it very amusing.
bangu
okay sorry couldn't find file i'm good now ready >>218095 who is this literal demon >>218097 and wtf is this image
Anno
this is really nice looking
bangu
is this that one guy uhhhh galileo galilei? or something like that?
Anno
the 24 gig one is the same subs from the theatre i think looks like it its ugly
Anno
The vocalist? The band that composed the whole music for this movie, OST and vocal songs, is RADWIMPS.
bangu
yeah this is someone else at first he sounded a lot like some other dude
Anno
she didn't grow much taller
Anno
i think this is probably the most awkward part of watching it in theatres
I've got the same problem with some panning shots but that's all
Anno

Okey dokes.
>>218113 >>218111 Do either of you have the super chunky ~25GB file?
rook
yeah I've got that one
Anno
I think the encodes on it might be kind of cruddy. I've been getting some frame skipping on some 1080p files and I think the some chunky one might be messing with it.
Anno
a 3ds but a very long one
bangu
25 gb? that's gonna have one hell of a bitrate you might need to use hardware acceleration if you aren't
>>218126 It means something like giving out political favors.
Anno

the TWILIGHT ZONE
Anno
Iiya yaa
Anno
no brides wow is she gay
Anno
It's just a matter of economy. If there'sn -there's no brides then someone's gonna want to marry her instead. And that'll just get her stuck in this backwater town.
The grandma's an old Japanese lady. Probably doesn't weigh much at all.
bangu
i bet obaaaaaaaa-sans are all about gettin carried up the mountain i bet they have meetings where they talk about how many times theyh've been carried up a mountain it's an integral part of the obaa-chan experience, and daily obaa-san culture
Oh, did they stop swapping? I guess that's why she got depressed and massacred her hair.
rook
I guess he's practiced a lot he does seem dead set on architecture so it would make sense he's got a lot of practice
bangu
>>218262 no i think that's not quite how it happened
Anno
>>218261 He was constantly looking up references on his phone. Also they swapped bodies for probably something like half a year. Probably close to a hundred days of living in that town.
Anno
theyd don't find this creepy at all huh
Anno
Well they are expressing some concern.
rook

glitch in the matrix
Anno
>tiamat the astrals are at it again!
Anno
>Cyberm
Anno
That book is really heavy. It kind of paints a really depressing image.
It's likely this might be the third time the comet has splintered and hit the same spot. If you think about what the area the Miyamizu shrine is built at, it looks like a meteorite crater too. And the chunk of rock the shine is under looks a bit like an asteroid.
So the first was the rock that becomes the shrine. The second forms the lake the town is built around. And this third one is the one that devastates it.
rook
tiamat really hates that town
Anno
YOU'RE NOT EVEN MY REAL DAD
Anno
nice there was an imprint of the hammer on the wood somehow very satifying
Like look at that smile. Don't you want to protect that smile.
Anno
if i t ended like 5cm i would have died
Anno
>>218450 I like the joke that if you just stop the movie at the end of that scene with them walking apart on the bridge you get the real Makoto Shinkai experience.
I think this and garden of words are shinkai's best so far, and as far as production value koe no katachi can't keep up at all but as a romance I agree with riki, koe no katachi had better developement between the two MCs this focussed too much on saving the town and using that as a crutch for dramatic tension but koe no katachi was able to blend that tension with the character's daily lives better and because of that I ended up feeling more for them
this was still a fantastic film though
Anno
Really he just gets better and better as time goes on. Like his writing gets tighter and his characters get less miserable. I'm excited to see if he can top this. But at the same time I'm worried he might get too pressured to top this.
bangu
I'm having trouble remembering the name of the one where the girl loses her voice because >>218472 yeah that one Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda that one
yeah i really really liked that one
Anno
Kokoro ga Sakisomething something.
Anno
>>218469 For me this one just really speaks to that yearning I get a lot. It's really hard to put into concise words, but that life can be fantastic and terrific and be more than just, well, a plain life. And that something so big and important to you in your youth can feel like such a huge event, but in time all things fade and they aren't as important to you anymore. But they still leave echoes of nostalgia with you that you remember in a dream every now and then, and that brings tears to your eyes. Shinkai handled some really large-scale themes in this movie and they're things that resonate with me really strongly. Koe no Katachi kind of felt too wrapped up at times in the contained world of teenager life. For me it felt a bit small, and it weakened the overall impact of the movie for me. But the way this one shows the characters at different times of their life helps it have more gravity for me.
It was good, but it made me feel a little unsatisfied because it stopped right before the good part.
Anno
They met each other, and finally got to put five years of bottled up passion to good use. Probably went to Mitsuha's apartment and went at it like rabbits.
>>218480 >>218481 I'd like to but I really need to get back to packing/cleaning I need to make the whole move tomorrow which means I'll be going to sleep in about an hour too
Anno
>>218491 they don't remember a thing why are you making up doujin scenarios
Anno
>>218493 I don't think it's far-fetched that they'll get the memories back now that they've met each other again. There's nothing to indicate it can't happen.
