So society-wide arranged marriages would be widespread and that's why a system implementing society-wide arranged marriages wouldn't work?
>>186515 No get back here I'm legitimately confused about what you're even talking about. I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to say because it sounds like X would be wide spread so X wouldn't work.
Yuu
I don't feel like semantics tonight. Just forget I said anything.
Yuu
>>186514 The whole scene is about people who don't want to get married and want to do their own thing. That feeling would be widespread and that's why this system wouldn't work.
Anno
So yes, dissent with the system would be widespread and that's why society-wide arranged marriages wouldn't work. In other words I was right in my presumption >>186512 here.
Anno
forced marriages sound like a drag
Anno
I'm sure it works in niches of the world but it would be horrible on a massive basis.
Anno
the designs are a litlte wierd to me il get used to iot
Anno
This main girl is kind of bug-eyed.
At the same time there isn't a lot of samefacing going on. That's kind of nice.
Yuu
Seems like they are going overboard with he moe eyes on the firls a bit.
Anno
They're not all that bad. In fact she's the only real outstander. The other two were at least normal-ish.
Yuu
Looks like it may be a good thing protagonist-kun has an arranged marriage to fall back on.
Yuu
wow, what a cringy confession.
Anno
What a weird stress relief.
Yuu
Oh, she actually showed up. I was about to say that he could go get arranged married now with no regrets.
Yuu
I bet the cut of this is that he's unremarkable to her, but she's going to try a relationship because she recently got her arranged marriage notice.
Yuu
That's the kind of confession that's hard to deal with. It's sad how long he's pined for her!
Anno
THE BROKEN ERASER OF UNMEI
Anno
Ara ara
Anno
Stroke of midnight. This Governmental office has some style.
I really like Takahashi's style though.
Yuu
They work late.
Anno
It looks like he got tricked by his phone I bet though. There's no way the glitchy text was legit.
I bet Takahashi herself had something to do with it.
Yuu
How did they find him in some random park? They're good.
Anno
They've got some weird-ass algorithm that can plot a person's eugenic-optimal marriage candidate by the age of sixteen. When you consider the effort that would have to go into that, tracking a person's location in a major city is probably a breeze.
Yuu
His arranged marriage candidate is pretty cute too. What a lucky guy.
Anno
Mmhmm. Totally lucky.
Yuu
okay let's youkai apartment
>>186545 I think you get no choice no matter what.
okay let's start!
Anno
wait so like if you find a partner before 16 are you okay or are you stil screwed
Anno
I think you can't legally get married in Japan until sixteen years of age anyway. So anything before that is just non-binding relationship. Kind of adds a rather controlling spin on the comical way the department show up in front of him at the stroke of midnight.
Anno
ok
Anno
The premise for this show feels like something that's been done over a few times already.
Remember that show about the guy with all the oddities living in his small, shitty apartment? That was kind of a similar set up. Male MC gets a cheap apartment to live in because it's populated with supernatural oddities.
Anno
This one looks like a 5/10 at best from the synopsis
Yuu
We'll just have to see.
Anno
>>186552 So did Rokujouma but it ended up being pretty fun.
Anno
Homeless by age sixteen. How brutal.
Yuu
>when a ghost offers you a place to stay
Anno
Yeah I don't know how I would feel about a little ghost boy pointing the way for real estate for me.
Also this guy looks like the guy from Full Metal Alchemist that fused his little daughter and dog together.
Yuu
>>186566 It's the blocky face combined with the opaque glasses.
Anno
The bits of odd stubble and haircut are similar too. Though I think the FMA guy's hair was thinner and more flaxen.
Anno
he probably didnt realize the boy wasnt human
Anno
That's a kind of comfy little room, really. For only 250 a month too.
Yuu
Wow, he gets a whole bunch of free books to read. That would be really nice.
Yuu
I love these shows where someone moves in with a bunch of entertaining people. I may like this.
Anno
Yeah, eccentric small apartment shows are a favourite of mine too.
Oh they're stones. I thought they were something a little more suggestive when she first pulled them out.
Yuu
Kinda rude just to rip into somebody's packages like that.
Anno
Providing the basic amenities are provided I'd totally go for an apartment room like that for 250/month. I don't need a lot of space really.
Yuu
I guess the catch is going to be that all these people are dead. The author said he's been there 10 years but he's the one that is the newest. But the girl doesn't look that old to me.
For her to be living there more than 10 years at that age is kind of a stretch.
Anno
More so their chef is a PAIR OF FLOATING HANDS.
Anno
I think the girl and his sensei are alive
Anno
Oh they're coming in torrents now.
Anno
I could go either way on the author being alive or dead. This girl I'm still leaning towards being -- Oh well I guess she's alive. Unless she's haunting the hospital. I guess that might be the case.
Yuu
I guess if she moved in at 17 she could look like that at 27.
Unless her job is being a ghost at night in the hospital.
Anno
I figure the MC would know if the author was dead though, considering he's a huge fan.
Anno
I guess when you're giant and menacing. it helps with ensuring your tenants pay their rent.
Anno
Ah she's an exorcist or something I bet.
Yuu
Yep, looks like she's an exorcist. It would have been more amusing if she'd been a ghost.
I guess that's why the author said she was the scariest one there. He's probably dead.
Anno
I wonder if Japanese hospitals keep something of a Shinto or Buddhist spiritualist on hand like that. Not for actual supernatural stuff but for general consolation.
Yuu
actually Maybe he's a fox spirit or something.
Anno
Yeah that's my bet too. Some kind of supernatural creature. Not all youkai are undead after all.
Anno
Exorcist-chan looks like she's in high school. Guess she's just been at the apartment her whole life or so.
Anno
i bet shes his classmate
Yuu
hmm well This was better than expected. I may like this one.
Anno
It was a bit better than what I was expecting, yeah. Didn't expect such an age and...species distinction -diversity amongst the characters. Though it was a bit more high school-y.
Yuu
okay
isekai sudoku
okay let's start!
Anno
this one seems weird >>186605 yeah i was thinking that why couldnt it just be a fantasy-like cafe
Anno
It seems like another one of those "why even make it an isekai" show. But it also doesn't look as generic as most isekai shows so it might still be all right.
Anno
That's a good philosophy for food.
Also braised pork belly sounds tasty anyway.
Anno
Isekai Souma
Anno
Well my Internet died. Guess it's phonepostng for the next twenty minutes.
Anno
I didn't expect the cafe to already be populated with fantasy characters.
Yuu
R O W D Y patrons
Anno
Is the MC the chef
Anno
Yeah I figure so.
Yuu
Junichi sure goes get a lot of work.
Anno
The thought of an interdimensional magical café that the door to appears randomly is pretty enchanting. I like that premise.
Yuu
The food really is similarly drawn to the food in Souma.
Anno
Food and cooking shows always make me really hungry.
Anno
Wow she got to bring the whole pot home.
Anno
He really must not get a lot of sleep.
Yuu
I guess he lives in Japan and runs his interdimensional cafe? That's a pretty interesting concept I guess.
Anno
So this is how he gets his waitress eh. She steals food and has to pay off her debt.
Yuu
Demon girl slave!
Anno
That is a big head of cabbage.
Anno
That bacon looks good. I haven't had any kind of meat in two or three days.
Anno
the MC is pretty kakkoii
so she's not from another world right only he is?
Anno
I think the MC is
Yuu
Onlu one day a week is pretty light even if it's a 14 hour shift.
>>186626 I don't really know how to quanify from another world. He seems to be a dimension hopper from Japan? Are all his clients from the same world? Or does he appear in a bunch of different worlds?
I'm not sure.
Anno
no one knowsss
Anno
I think the MC is a normal Japanese guy who runs an eatery that is physically in Japan.
The fact that he thought Waitress-chan was "from the other side" makes it sound like there's only one other world he gets fantasy customers from. I guess the door just magically moves throughout the world, appearing at will?
Anno
he probably doesnt get human customers huh
Anno
>>186633 We saw one right at the beginning of the show. It looks like his eatery is only open to fantasy characters at night after it closes at a normal time in Japan.
Anno
this show is pretty good best thing tonight
Anno
Yeah it's a comfy cooking show. That's kind of what I was hoping it was gonna be.
Yuu
YEah, I guess it is just one world on the other side. Either way, this one was also good. I'll look forward to next week.
Yuu
okay that's the end of the list. Thanks for anime!
I don't mind this new timeslot, this was a good time to watch it at.
Anno
I might even get to sleep at relatively normal times on weekdays. What a mortifying thought.
