So society-wide arranged marriages would be widespread and that's why a system implementing society-wide arranged marriages wouldn't work?
>>186515 No get back here I'm legitimately confused about what you're even talking about. I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to say because it sounds like X would be wide spread so X wouldn't work.
>>186514 The whole scene is about people who don't want to get married and want to do their own thing. That feeling would be widespread and that's why this system wouldn't work.
Anno
So yes, dissent with the system would be widespread and that's why society-wide arranged marriages wouldn't work. In other words I was right in my presumption >>186512 here.
How did they find him in some random park? They're good.
Anno
They've got some weird-ass algorithm that can plot a person's eugenic-optimal marriage candidate by the age of sixteen. When you consider the effort that would have to go into that, tracking a person's location in a major city is probably a breeze.
>>186545 I think you get no choice no matter what.
okay let's start!
Anno
wait so like if you find a partner before 16 are you okay or are you stil screwed
Anno
I think you can't legally get married in Japan until sixteen years of age anyway. So anything before that is just non-binding relationship. Kind of adds a rather controlling spin on the comical way the department show up in front of him at the stroke of midnight.
Anno
ok
Anno
The premise for this show feels like something that's been done over a few times already.
Remember that show about the guy with all the oddities living in his small, shitty apartment? That was kind of a similar set up. Male MC gets a cheap apartment to live in because it's populated with supernatural oddities.
Anno
This one looks like a 5/10 at best from the synopsis
I guess the catch is going to be that all these people are dead. The author said he's been there 10 years but he's the one that is the newest. But the girl doesn't look that old to me.
For her to be living there more than 10 years at that age is kind of a stretch.
Anno
More so their chef is a PAIR OF FLOATING HANDS.
Anno
I think the girl and his sensei are alive
Anno
Oh they're coming in torrents now.
Anno
I could go either way on the author being alive or dead. This girl I'm still leaning towards being -- Oh well I guess she's alive. Unless she's haunting the hospital. I guess that might be the case.
Yep, looks like she's an exorcist. It would have been more amusing if she'd been a ghost.
I guess that's why the author said she was the scariest one there. He's probably dead.
Anno
I wonder if Japanese hospitals keep something of a Shinto or Buddhist spiritualist on hand like that. Not for actual supernatural stuff but for general consolation.
hmm well This was better than expected. I may like this one.
Anno
It was a bit better than what I was expecting, yeah. Didn't expect such an age and...species distinction -diversity amongst the characters. Though it was a bit more high school-y.
this one seems weird >>186605 yeah i was thinking that why couldnt it just be a fantasy-like cafe
Anno
It seems like another one of those "why even make it an isekai" show. But it also doesn't look as generic as most isekai shows so it might still be all right.
Anno
That's a good philosophy for food.
Also braised pork belly sounds tasty anyway.
Anno
Isekai Souma
Anno
Well my Internet died. Guess it's phonepostng for the next twenty minutes.
Anno
I didn't expect the cafe to already be populated with fantasy characters.
Onlu one day a week is pretty light even if it's a 14 hour shift.
>>186626 I don't really know how to quanify from another world. He seems to be a dimension hopper from Japan? Are all his clients from the same world? Or does he appear in a bunch of different worlds?
I'm not sure.
Anno
no one knowsss
Anno
I think the MC is a normal Japanese guy who runs an eatery that is physically in Japan.
The fact that he thought Waitress-chan was "from the other side" makes it sound like there's only one other world he gets fantasy customers from. I guess the door just magically moves throughout the world, appearing at will?
Anno
he probably doesnt get human customers huh
Anno
>>186633 We saw one right at the beginning of the show. It looks like his eatery is only open to fantasy characters at night after it closes at a normal time in Japan.
Anno
this show is pretty good best thing tonight
Anno
Yeah it's a comfy cooking show. That's kind of what I was hoping it was gonna be.
