the lag makes it a bit of a pain to fight zombos and spiders during this very early game, but that'll kinda even itself out once geared up, cause at the point of diamond gear, only really pvp is a threat in minecraft
the great thing about the gold farm, once it's set up (which will be a day long project at the least) is it is also one of the most efficient xp farms that can be built without going absolute goblin mode enderman farms are obviously better for XP, but that requires end access and killing the dragon, which I don't wanna do alone, feels like something that should be done together, and besides my ping fluctuates between .2 and 1 second, even if it's usually stable around .3
I definitely wanna make the gold farm into the insane one in my head, which will required modification after it's built, but should be possible to get set up even while it's in use, more or less it abuses the nether roof, of course, and that's a bit spooky cause while I can bring obsidian to make a portal and glitch my way up, I do kinda wanna make a proper entrance to the roof as well, and I'm not entirely sure if there's a way to break bedrock with the ping I've got locally, breaking bedrock is genuinely simple, unless they changed something in the latest patch, but I dunno if latency affects it
maybe mushroom shenanigans will get it done, though, will have to do some tests
For sure breaking the end portal apart once we get that far to get a sand\gravel\concrete duper up and running, though
Kelp farm has to be set up sooner or later too, though I'll have to experiment a bit with designs cause the one I used in my singleplayer world, like, works, but it's very inefficient and I ended up connecting it to the bamboo farm just to not utterly waste the yield A properly set up kelp farm (big enough) is entirely self sufficient, which is the dream

yeah but it's fundamentally not possible to overcome the issue of minecraft using a single masterthread for everything, without rewriting the game outright it's just one of those vestigial issues so deep in the whole code, from back when notch first started cobbling it together
anywho, the iron farm has villagers now I gotta poach a zombo in the night to actually get it running, and set up some hoppers and all that junk, but other than that it's at least getting somewhere
Once we've got infinite iron, the world is ours for the taking I think the golem drop is far enough down it should be possible for the villagers to spawn another one while the previous is still dying, too or, at the least, they can spawn another one faster if it's not, I'll just have to retool it a little bit and get that sorted out Really, I could go all out and make a more efficient version than this, it's not like I don't know how to, but I figure it's good enough like this for our purposes, it's the one I used in singleplayer and I never ran out of iron cause it runs as long as we're nearby, and it's like, a little off from the cow crusher, so we'll always be nearby if it becomes an issue, we can dump a chunkloader next to it and that'll sort it out
we should put the sword to the ender dragon this weekend too, so we can get elytras, they're just so damn convenient

I got the iron farm fixed properly It used to crap out after a while cause the villagers technically need to sleep every so often, which it didn't let them cause they don't sleep while they can see a zombie so I rigged it up to let them take micronaps

well, it took about an hour, but I located a fortress, so we can actually, once we tackle that, get to the End I built a fuckass roof tunnel to get there, though it's scuffed and we'll need some sand or similar to safely mess with the blazes cause my ass is not touching withers at the current stage of the tech tree wither skeletons, I mean, withers don't spawn obviosuly obviously, once things are a bit more set up, I'll just build a portal up on the nether roof and we can use that for traversal like this I bet there's a fortress closer anyway, this is jsut the one I ended up finding

seems the only real way of getting chunks loaded into voxy is to either bruteforce it with like, chunky or some other mod that just makes you load the chunks, or the traditional "actually do some exploration" approach
