Idk why people keep acting like Cover is to blame. Kanata explicitly said that management told her she should do less and change her workload and workflow and she chose not to because she wanted to fulfill people's expectations. For a company like Cover - ostensibly an idol talent management organization - six years is an astoundingly large amount of time to keep an idol. Over time, organizational goals change and evolve organically, and talents make decisions to move out, especially after they've achieved many of their goals like Kanata has.
I get that a lot of people don't understand how this business works (especially the people who know very little about idols), but people should at least make an effort to learn before constantly blaming management. By all accounts, management has been very reasonable with people, and Hololive is the most generous vtuber agency out there by far.

i remember back when i was in university i was interested in the construction of a chat bot that would have conversation "drive", trying to mimic how humans have a "drive" to say something conversationally based on the channel noise and conversational entropy like if you ask me "hey how's your day going" and i say "oh... it's all right" and then pause there's some lingering phase state energy where i determine whether i want to say anything more detailed or leave it unsaid the empty pause in the communication channel between me and you would be a vacuum of sorts where someone says something to fill the dead air
but more simply than the vacuum of having the channel gates stay open (requiring some energy throughput to maintain the open channel), it would try to decipher the conversational entropy of the stage of conversation if a question is specifically asked, there's some framed entropy, and every line of explanation would close that entropy a little bit and any remaining entropy would be left as a slight drive to say something more, like an arithmetic remainder after division
and overcommits to the entropy would require some recoil, e.g. asking a follow-up question "do you like tom cruise?" "oh, i think he's all right. i liked him in ____. I think his acting is really good but i dunno about him as a person." (overkill on the entropy so a recoil) "but yeah, what do you think about him?" and compensating by providing some negative entropic force back
i thought this would lead to realistic conversational patterns that drive engagement forward, but more importantly, that it would provide some material way of dissecting the elements of conversation to make a real sounding board for the user i remember wanting to package it as a waifu learning companion as an app with customizable details and memories, that could live on your pc as an assistant to do tasks like put tasks on your calendar and send you reminders and conversationally ask you about things that are importa
