>>1166742 what was the grainyness level of your release
S C
not muhc
Anno
>>1166747 oh I remember having to set an mpv filter when watching it that kinda worked can you repost those last 2 screenshots from the old thread I wanna see them
Next time somebody asks me about my tattoo and I don't feel like talking about my brother I can tell them it's a tribute to the release date of Half Life 2 on Xbox.

Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
avocado as a garnish for asian food? aintnoway unless it's sushi
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
just fry the broccoli and carrots in the sauces for a while, add tofu, simmer on low for a while, then incorporate noods idk that's my guess can't really go wrong
hmm i guess you can stir fry the tofu first separately idk aren't you supposed to cook tofu with other stuff so it absorbs flavour? i don't really know
I sorta kinda want a new phone but everything is expensive and I want a GPU more
S C
I gotta save up for something like that though, big time but I should be able to now that I'm moving in with my dad again expenses are gonna go down a lot
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
saving up is a good feeling

>>1166830 theres no way its originally a chopra quote i hope
I go back and forth a bit on Cr1tikal. I do like him and some of his videos but often I find him a bit preachy. moralistic. Using his gigantic platform to publicly shame what he thinks of as bad behavior. I can't always get behind that.
>>1166841 League of Legends. he rebroadcasts the official Riot esports streams and does his own commentary and gets like 4-5 times the views of the main broadcast.
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
i don't mind it but i'm a moralizer myself this world could use some dang principles and morals i guess kinda meaningless to just spout them as entertainment tho
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
> Jack Doherty detained in Miami outside a smoke shop > walked into the street blocking traffic for content > arrested and had amphetamine on his person its just a prank bro
>>1166844 yeah. well i mean i'm not hard and fast against it. Sometimes things need a good calling out. but just. it can seem a bit tasteless to take a short video without context of somebody's worst moments on their worst day and rebroadcast it to millions. that's why I said i go back and forward on him.
And of course, I could never hate a man who funded a banger music video about giant robots powered by cum.
Rei !p8eYCadcMo
>>1166842 I'd vote Sakura Miko. But moist is a close second
here are some alternative CDNs tano is on something called hostpapa idk
S C
hm, the reinstall seems to have cleared up a lotta junk and stuff and x4 actually seems to run better now granted, I didn't really stress test it, but still
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
cloudflare has been workin' great for like 10 years straight why would i switch haha
whoakun
skip2 da net
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
I mean in terms of like defying the near monopoly cloudflare has i get that, but in terms of reliability it's been pretty amazing my server's the thing that's unreliable not cloudflare
im just gonna blame cloudflare for now and see if it fixes itself
whoakun
good plan
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
why don't they just build a big open tunnel over airport runways too expensive to maintain? dangerous vortices at the entrance and exit? with like hella lights and tracking and such so you don't have to land in insane rain or fog or whatever just line up with the tunnel and zoop you're in a climate controlled zone
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
>airplanes generate immense airflow and downard thrust >a tunnel would trap this air creating extreme turbulance
>>1166893 you know what's funny about that one is that I myself was a sailing hater and voted "No" in the game update polls against bringing it into the game but now I think it's kind of fun So maybe there's something to be said for Jagex pushing through some of these changes for the long term health of the game.
ah man it feels like an MMO again. hundreds of people all in the same world doing the same activity. everyone's doing random shit and using random gear because nobody has solved the meta yet There's community. It's alive. This is like playing Runescape back when I was 10
Cus that's the thing about playing a 20 year old game, right everyone is maxed out. Everybody is max gear. Every single method for leveling up has been optimized to be efficient.
im loving this. It's like there's a sense of community and exploration again.
I can't believe NL legit played a korean ecchi FMV VN just because road to empress 2 released later than he thought have indie games finally jumped the shark?
>>1166919 I bet you could relatively simply make a script that takes a dictionary or encyclopedia as input and spits out a sorted wordlist by statistical chance you'll have the letters for it on hand+on board, weighted by points gained You just gotta know how many of each letter is in a scrabble set
S C
Getting the weighting right is not simple though, would take a lot of fiddling to get it right
S C
Really it would be equally capable of just taking any arbitrary plain text file as input i guess Could just slot a book in there and get its scrabble vocab power (term pending)
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
i think you could do that but people have already crunched those numbers for the official word list at least common anagrams, two letter words, Q and Z words
whoakun
me personally i just use my favoritr words we should ppay scrabble :)
my approach for my new bitburner run's master script is slowly getting into focus I'm putting work in right from the get go to make a master script and supporting scripts that will sort through all the servers, rank them in ascending order of which is efficient to attack, and then just pour all meaningfully relevant available threads on to the most efficient, not-currently-processed one
I'm probably not gonna make any damn money until I've basically made the One Script That Wins The Game
It's gonna need to be able to make and manage timers, reserve ram across the network for upcoming more-efficient-than-the-alternative-uses tasks But I'm really enjoying it, in the fucking miniscule time I have each day to actually do any of this It's already nearly 10pm
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
the creative juices are flowing the lonely code mostly frees his mind at night
once the snow starts coming I'm gonna have to go to bed SO fucking early I'll have to be up super early in case we got like a meter of fucking snow every DAY dude
I saw a tweet like a year ago to the effect of "The 7 day week is the most effective psychotechnology of all time. Completely arbitrary but undisputed"
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
i guess there are historical holdouts
>Soviet Union: Experimented with a 5-day and then a 6-day week for factory production before returning to the 7-day week
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
ok i guess a moon cycle is about 28 days
S C
Some arbitrary things are fine but I think we should just do away with the weekend and have work and free time every other day instead
Rei !p8eYCadcMo
why?
Rei !p8eYCadcMo
isn't that just as arbitrary?
Rei !p8eYCadcMo
arguably even more arbitrary because the existing system has its origins in religious stuff
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
if you work in like a restaurant you could maybe have that
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
>>1166954 but religion is in an d of itself an arbitrary construct whereas the earth reliably having 365ish days is established
whoakun
big restaurants made the 365 day calendar to tske more money from low income citizens
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
sooo truuuuuee
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
i ate too many brussel sprouts
whoakun
wete they good tho
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
not bad but i was up all night farting
S C
FUCK bitburner hack and grow effects are reliant on too much bullshit I gotta fucking account for in my sorting algorithm AAAAA
I mean obviously I could bruteforce it by just, you know, looking up which order they're most effectively targeted, but I want the script to be entirely without completely arbitrary bullshit like that
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
time to bust out the linear algebra
S C
I'm not entirely sure how I make the script derive this on its own, though I mean, I can sorta do it, make it compare numbers and do some serious math, but still, it's at best kinda slow
>>1166963 so you're saying you want an algorithm, not a heuristic?
S C
basically yeah As far as I'm able, I want to avoid putting a variable in the script that's just a magic number I might end up doing it if I can't find a way to make the script actually produce it for itself though
Rei !p8eYCadcMo
>>1166968 it's very fun for me to see you talking about programming I like to see people lesrn to program
well it is an interest of mine, I think I've got the like, mental structure for it to be somewhat intuitive, it's just I never really have anything I wanna, you know do
with bitburner I've at least got a goal to work towards, making a package of scripts that is optimal at pulling dollars per second But it's the kinda thing I gotta work on a little at a time cause I get so bogged down in how to make this sorting algorithm actually rate the servers properly I need a benchmark, basically, and I'm still figuring out exactly how to produce one
S C
I did a lot of scripting back when I played tf2 less after valve killed the wait command, but even then I still messed around making some stuff Though, my efforts mostly culminated in the fucking nutso shitposting script I did that could take in an arbitrary amount of shitposting lines, was in the process of implementing a radio-command system for choosing target of the shitpot (it worked fine, just I couldn't get the visual radio menu to show up, I think I needed to fuck with files that weren't .cfg for that ultimately and I didn't wanna do more than .cfg files) and originally it just shuffled them randomly using wait abuse, but I ended up having to make each movement key do the shuffling to kinda force it If it was made just for me it'd have been just one big fucking .cfg that I jury rigged, but I made it partly for distribution on /tf2g/ so it was a package of .cfgs where one was for the user to actually just go in and adjust a few things as necessary, and that was the only one that needed to be in autoconfig.cfg cause it booted everything else on its own
it was a lotta fun, but I eventually got kinda tired of tf2 cause my friends stopped playing and without competitive, tf2 is boring
I had a few other little projects like that my medic.cfg was made so I was always healing unless I pressed another button, which valve of course fucked up when they made the healgun keep firing without being held, so I had to redo that all my melee weapons were set to show viewmodels and any other weapon swapped it back, that sort of thing
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
im at the airport
Samu /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\
i miss playin TF2 and just hangin out in the engie nest
