There's a lot of different ways to do it, really With sprites it's relatively simple in concept, at least, but shit I don't know how you'd manage it having to draw everything pixel by pixel. Very carefully, I imagine.

grew kinda bored of the chatgpt rp too it's just too eager to please, just about every NPC is waiting hand and foot for instructions and I mean obviously it's also incapable of like, thought, so it's not cooking up an actual story line or anything, it's all just in the moment I'm sure you can circumvent that by running like, a few of them in parallel, managing separate parts of the story and communicating between them, but it'd be very complicated to set up, and you'd need more and more of them to handle stuff as more things are introduced

Really though, it's just not doable I think, not at anything approximating a reasonable cost anyway And whatever you do to it, short of building your own fucking AI, it's just gonna be kinda lackluster. Sure it demonstrates fairly competent creativity, even if at base it is more or less rearrangements of other stuff it's been fed, but at least gpt and aidungeon both run into the hurdle of "the user is always right". It will never go "No, you can not do that. The rules established earlier prevent it."
