you haven't a fucking clue the extent I'm talking about when you use probe scanners in eve, right the signals have these red spheres around them, indicating the inaccuracy. Bigger spheres, the less you know of their exact location, which is why you scan. They're somewhere in the sphere. So when you scan, you usually set the range to 8 AU, covering that sphere entirely, gradually zeroing you in This much is just visually communicated to you outright by the interface But I still told him "set it to 8 AU first" So he does this, he scans the wormhole itself so we can enter I manage to get him to make himself a safespot out in space to sit on while he scans, and tell him which signature is a gas site. It's ass gas so I don't plan to stick around, but I'm just guiding him through the steps so he can start making actual money and not uninstall the game after his 500 millionth veldspar haul worth maybe a million total in 2 months anyway, I set my dscanner onto the gas site, so I can keep track of his progress I see his probes, he has begun scanning I reduce the angle on my dscan, so I will see them appear as he reduces his range further and gets closer ...minutes pass minutes pass once more "I'm not finding it at all, I'm still at 0%" Homeboy was starting at 4 AU, meaning he wasn't covering the actual site location at all

oh and yeah, the other thing, the BIG reason nobody uses the shiny t1 scoops your regular t1 scoop, it has 0% residue. Residue is basically just a waste mechanic. When you finish a mining\scooping cycle, the game rolls a dice and determines whether you waste any product The t1 scoop never does when you waste something, you will FIRST get the stuff you are supposed to, and then the residue is removed from the source, so if you're mining a rock, and you've got 1x residue at 100%, you will get maybe 5 units of rock, then waste 5 units from the source
Anyway The crop scoops, which he was using, have 100% chance to have residue, meaning it ALWAYS wastes some product, and it has 2x residue This in effect means it's... Okay on a Sparking Nebula, you're looking at roughly 1.5B of gas total in that shit, if you scooped it all you'd get about 1.5B If you use these fucking things, you waste 1B worth

the bothersome part of alt accounts is you need to generate the money per month to keep them at omega though having a separate skill queue to use basically does mean you increase your potential earnings by more than double because you can branch out over two characters This alt's whole mission in life will be to reprocess my shit and then trade it back to me so I can sell it From there I dunno what skills I'll specc it into though Maybe go hard on hauling for it so I won't have to pay for that, or at least reduce my costs
I've been in the kitchen, cooking up ways to generate cold hard isk once I start up my own corp down the line I'm just gonna need to put together some spreadsheets to streamline it, but the relatively recent corporation feature of "projects" will allow a large part of the process to be practically automated I can set up a project for each of the various building materials, so you get paid when you deliver that to the corp I can then set up the same type of project, but for profitable manufacturable items, with the payment set at like, the buildcost + say 75% of the profit margin on production That way people can just buy the materials from the corp at the cheapest they come, those materials being provided at that same cost so it's just being done at cost by the corporation when it's produced, they just sell the item they made to the corp for most of the profit they'd make, saving a trip to jita, and when it all piles up, the corp can haul it in bulk to jita and sell for that remaining profit margin
Now I could have done this in the corp I am in already, yes, but uh... membercount, and not having a firm grasp of the production process, as well as a CEO with the financial intelligence of an infant made it nonviable

Unfortunately I'm not BEEG so I can't control supply of anything You'd need a whole alliance to focus on it to control something like viridian myko, though it is certainly possible You'd be at war all the time though, cause it's in real high demand It used to go for like 124K a pop, now it's at 237K a pop cause they released new ships that use it in their production It remains to be seen if this is a temporary spike, but it has equalized a bit at around the 230K mark the primary sources of viridian myko are all concentrated in one RELATIVELY small section of the galaxy, too, so the alliances in the area might make moves to exert control, though I'm sure there are better ways to make money anyway, this is just the best isk/hr for my current skill set
