There aren't classes, but somehow or other, EVE manages to have people actually embody "classes" far more than any other MMO because it's not just how you approach combat encounters, it's legit what game you play

I got into the beta test for Hoyoverse's new game, Zenless Zone Zero, and that's kind of been my experience Like the combat feels fun, but it's not particularly challenging There's some depth to it with how team compositions can boost each other and the fundamental combat mechanics encourage you to rotate between your team members But ultimately it's still a really low-skill game to play so all that depth is kind of wasted I think there's a pretty low ceiling to how hard they can make combat if they're going to insist on making a game that can be played across conventional gaming platforms and phones Ultimately if your lowest common denominator is someone playing with touchscreen controls on a phone, you're pretty limited in how delicate you can make the game and how punishing you can make mistakes
