One of the gimmicks is that they power up mana for the city by doing idol performances with lights and music and dancing. That was fun. A large cast of characters, each with their own unique charms - enough to have several 'idol groups'. The story is basically just a hook to hang a lot of the character stuff and idol performances on. Not bad, but a bit nothing-y.
Overall, good show. I'll give it a solid 7/10.
