how is story in comic or manga written so to avoid plot holes or inconsistency or just not overwrite each others? like when you are writing a big series and such and the future chapter is supposed to make sense when traced back to the earliest ones

write the overall plot of the series ahead of time in general then take small pieces of the big plot and develop them into a fully formed chapter but don't reveal everything all up front, leave some mystery and implications for keen readers to theorize about also, the omissions mean you have free wiggle room to adjust in the future if you accidentally paint yourself in a cornwe cornee

but in actuality i just worried things do not tie up nicely... is there a method or a checklist, tools to check those? like color theory wheel or such idk. rulers and calculators.
