I think I've been holding off on checking the Bisque Doll dub for similar reasons
Despite really liking AmaLee's voice, at least with the Vtuber content she's been doing
But I also have a lot of apprehension towards dubs in the first place too

Part of me half thinks that arrow sinking into the rust-lava was supposed to be an echo of the Terminator thumbs up that Bisco referenced earlier
Which kind of takes a bit of the edge of the tragedy of that final bit

not only that, everyone else is kinda supporting characters

I think Milo is pretty well developed
And this might be a Main Character Awakening for him
Hopefully with Bisco out of the way there might be a spotlight for some of the other characters
Like Pawoo and Jabi

i feel like they've tried to frame milo as the MC
but bisco was always cooler

So far I think Bisco has been the protagonist of the series, even if we've gotten a lot of stuff from Milo
Like he's been the one driving the good action of the series for the most part
Milo's been more of a narrator character, akin to Kyon for Haruhi
But with Bisco out of the narrative, Milo kinda has to step up now

It's an ongoing LN series though, so this can't be the end-end of the series
Even if it might be a good stopping point for the anime

i just realized for almost everyone watching mushoku, that in the last few episodes of the season, they see rudy lose a fight against a literal god, and then everyone leaves him and then the show ends
that's one hell of an ending to a series
good thing there was already a s2 in the works and that they've officially announced it
but damn that would be kind of tragic

It's one of the hardships of adapting stuff that has a lot of suffering or losing in it
You have to keep in mind how much you can actually adapt and where you'll end off when you're done
Rika and I watched a basketball manga adaptation a year or so back where for a year straight of anime episodes the main team in it did nothing but lose
Along with some other misfortune and dumb choices which made them lose even off the court
Just a year straight of nothing but losing

It's also kinda like Re:Zero where the first season cut off on a pretty grim note too

for mushoku, they definitely chose the best possible place to end it
they definitely planned it out and were able to stick to their plan
it's just crazy how bleak it would look to anime-onlys in a hypothetical future where there's no more adaptation
good thing we don't live in that world
but yeah because of what's next, this was the end of one adventure, so it's good to pick up with the start of another

If they were less confident they were going to get more to adapt, I could have seen them choose to end the adaptation on rescuing the meido and Rudy's half-sister
That would have been a relatively high note to close the book on

oh man they could've chosen after rudy's chest is pierced but before he talks to the hitogami
so everyone just thinks he's dead

I think the only way they do that is if they could immediately post the announcement for season two in the works
Otherwise it's in pretty poor taste

this show is such a trip
it's just one strange experience after another
they have a detached sort of flow to them
like they're all part of the same tale but they happen in such strange way

I wonder if historically this Henry was as much a feckless king as this show makes him out to be
It's not like he's a bad person I mean
But he doesn't make for a good king

My biggest problem with this show is trying to keep track of where whose loyalties lie
Like Warwick has given up on the Yorks for being king and has thrown in with the Lancasters?
Is Richard working with him still?
What's Richard's opinions on his brothers?
Does Richard actually want to kill Henry? Hasn't he already realized his Henry is the Lancaster King of England?

How did a boar get into Henry's bedchambers

Buckingham looks a bit older than when we last saw him

If I remember the play correctly Richard is more very targeted with who he kills to ascend to the throne of England
We'll have to see how closely this series wants to play by Shakespeare's book

The manga was one I got really into real fast and it's one of the best romance-y ongoing series right now I think

Or maybe I blinked and it was the same one, but her personality seemed pretty drastic between the change

Between the big fight with the golem earlier, and then Yuuki almost remembering Yui and his time with Twinkle Wish
And now the stuff with the queen

Yuuki almost felt like he was acting his age there
Or at least he wasn't acting like a kid like he has most of the series
Maybe he's almost fully recovered from the regression he suffered from being sent to this world

Kokkoro is such a good team mom

There's been a fair bit of PecoKaryl ship stuff this season
Season one had some too but they seem to have stepped up the game this season
