But also if Lugh can defeated the Yuusha in combat, even unfair assassination-type combat, then he should be able to beat the Maou himself

I really expected the hero to be a girl

that yuusha could still be a girl

what if ruti doesn't become the hero again?

It seems like demon society is kind of collapsing in on itself anyway
There's factions which want Ruti to become the Yuusha, others which resist her
At this point it feels like the other civilizations could just leave the Maou alone and demons would take care of the problem themselves

So far the only people in the Hero's party who haven't ended up being kind of broken people are Gideon/Red and Danan
And the assassin girl, but she did come later

She's going to lose it now

Night Bang

I've been looking forward to this since Sunday

I really like this Aimer song
She tends to do calmer, more sentimental-poi stuff for anisong
But this is higher energy and really fits the flashy mood of an arc in a red light district

Inosuke really looks like a girl with absolutely zero effort

Inosuke here almost going up against the dungeon boss without even clearing the dungeon first

he's broken the rules and he's talking

With any luck he's moving so erratically that people aren't picking up on him being a guy
Although also one look at his legs and it's hard to see otherwise

This demon lady seems to be really agile
Now both Inosuke and Zenitsu have run into her

Oh is this lady voiced by Sawashiro
Kinda sounds like her

Bullying girls is probably one of the few things that can make Zenitsu actually have a backbone

Hah hah and Tanjirou is just living his best life

These Upper Moons really do seem cut from a different cloth than even the Lower Six
They've survived for generations, where even the Lower Moons seem just like tougher normal demons

yeah the lower moons are pretty pathetic

Since Muzan killed the ones who remained aside from the one who became the Mugen Train
Who then got killed by Tanjirou and the gang

This one is thirsty as hell for Muzan though

Huh, so the Japanese idea of saving face, is actually literally "saving face"
I kinda assumed it was a somewhat liberal translation of a term

Also the subs had her assuming Zenitsu was a boy
But it feels like she didn't have any reason to think he was a guy
And the Japanese had her referring to him with gender neutral terms I think

This mangaka seems to like their triplets
First there's the hospital trio, and now these three

They've really got a lot to wrap up this episode if they intend it to be the last

I think there's a bit we miss out on because we've only had the anime to watch
Like that whole segment with the original heroes, that was an LN series
I also think the Yuusha rejects who became those soldier girls also had a LN spin off which helped establish them as characters
We were lucky that they at least adapted the Wakaba prequel LN series into an anime season

Sonoko has always been the best

That would put the main cast at the end of high school or even post-graduation age-wise

Of course these two have coupled up in the meanwhile

Scouting out an abandoned mainland Japan with your best friend on a motorcycle seems pretty cozy

So I guess everything isn't fire
but everywhere else is dead

although vegetation seems to have been growing there

It looks like the fireworld was the spiritual world or whatever weird metaworld they were fighting in
Both the spiritual world and the physical world were isolated from the island the girls lived on by a giant wall
By defeating the gods it seems like they broke through the wall and back out into the physical world
And found a world three centuries abandoned by humanity

So now the long work of reclaimation begins

This has always been a treat to watch
I could probably just watch endless episodes of this
Just them making food and fantasy people enjoying it

Kinda looks a lot like an atypical genie's lamp
A magic device for making iced coffee is good too though

Surely she could tell her dad she knows of a magical place where she can meet up with royalty from the Country of Sand and confer about politics and even exchange small gifts

Lots of outside the restaurant scenes this episode

I've been wondering if the Sand Prince is gonna take this other king to the restaurant
And his daughter is going to waltz in too expecting things to be normal

Not quite I guess

She's gotten pretty good at knowing what the customers are going to order
Even Kuro is impressed

The restaurant is really busy today yeah

I've never actually had carbonara
Neither the lazy American version or the authentic Italian one

I've also never had a quiche before
Though that's more an intentional choice

A kind of recurring theme, at least in this season, has been how food in our world is kind of an international cooperation
The dishes the Nekoya's master serves require trade agreements and trading in regional food in the fantasy world
Not that they don't in our world, it's just we've long become used to it

And definitely kind of a scene
I wonder if they'll do the marriage next episode

Well that was a very happy episode
