When we went to the everglades, ToN got absolutely covered in mosquitoes like that.
Even with the bug spray, he was so covered that the next day, he looked like he had chicken pox

Part 9 hasn't officially been announced but years ago Araki said he had plans up to the end of Part 9 and said he plans on continuing after Part 8
JOJOLANDS is only a tentative title though, Araki mentioned it as such in September but hasn't confirmed it or really spoken about it since

Something I've been noticing with this series is everyone's names seem to be in Katakana
Like even names which you could normally spell presumably with at least Hiragana, if not Kanji, like Amou
It's not like Kanji are being erased, there's places they're still in use
But I wonder if using Katakana for names is a kind of identity erasure for the Japanese people by the occupational forces

fukujun's voice coming out of that guy's voice always feels weird haha

I think the register he uses for German fits his kinda sleazy/shady personality
If it was the pitch he used for like Takanashi in Working or the AI in Vivy, then yeah, it would really clash

Writing suicidal impulses or desires is hard if you haven't really been down that mindset yourself
I think you'd have to have an extreme capacity for empathy and understanding to write it without understanding it yourself
And even then if you understand it only from your own perspective it still might fall short because everyone encounters absolute despair in different ways


I guess it's like how Death Note was written as what normal people think smart people were like
This one is normal people writing what normal people think suicidal desires are like

I still feel like there are a minimum of two Karens in circulation

so yeah there have to be multiple karens

i still don't understand who the antagonist is
karen is going through timelines trying to save his wife or whatever
it felt like togetsu were the bad guys but then the show moved past that really quickly
this show's plot is so messy haha

I feel like the antagonist is Karen but because he gets in the way of making things peaceful rather than actively creating upheaval
Like right now they're trying to beat him so they can unravel the final entanglement of time travelling because he can somehow stop it from getting smoothed out
But Yuito and Kasane also seem to think they can change the world so the psionic powers aren't a thing, presumably also removing the threat of the Extinction Belt and the Others
I can kinda see where the resolution is but there's like just one or two elements missing before it can properly click together

The powers date back hundreds if not more than a thousand years, right?
How are they going to get rid of it all without doing something worse than kunado gate

Maybe this is easier to follow along with in the game if you take the time to follow all the skits and side stories
